Quote from Gai-Luron :Hello,

For the new add-on, i need your help because now you are an expert of configuring LFSRelax.

Gai-Luron

Well, until I actually download the file and investigate something called a cfg file, that would be a little pointless

Just keep on patronising me dude, it's creating a fuller picture of the person on the other end of the avatar..............

ps - is that dog in your avatar having a sly toke?

There is always another side to the story mate.

The other night I ended up on CTRA2 with a two or three Titanium and Platinum drivers and it was a total pleasure to experience.

I kept a Titanium licence driver behind me for 2 laps on SO4, and only thru his excellent car control and anticipation did he miss me on a couple of ocassions when I half slid wide or left half a gap up the inside.

No names mentioned, but it was a proper education in my rear view mirrors for 2 laps then more education for half a lap until he disappeared over the horizon

The good, the bad and the noobs, lol

RTFM There is a doc!! Anyway

Gai-Luron

Dude, really...........

I don't care even if you did give half an explanation after your uncalled for strop.
Not a nice attitude towards non-technical types. Again.:grumpy:.

You may be doing a good job creating a new Pitspotter, perhaps work on a new add-on for self-attitude improvement next time?

Quote from Glenn67 :
It would lessen the problem mrodgers is dicribing though That in conjunction to linking your pb's on the CTRA system with x% from WR for each Lic level to achieve next lic level would just about do it I think i.e. to get bronze you must have pb's on all rotation tracks within 5% of WR, for silver within 3% on all track rotated on silver server and gold 2% etc etc
...

How would this work when the HL WR's are set in cars without added weight/restrictions etc?

Quote from Riders Motion :I made some great laps today, I was getting good lap times so I thought I'd have a look on LFS World, but to my great deception, even hotlaps aren't shown on LFS World. Do I really got to hotlap online to see my laps on LFS World or is there another way?

Lol mate, I thought my lack of knowledge surrounding LFSWorld and the actual LFS game was pretty outstanding

Glad to know theres always someone out there who lives in Scooby Doo land as well (scooby doo = clue : clarification for foreigners!)

Quote from dungbeetle :After installing LFSRelax, open up the LFSRelax.cfg file in notepad.

As an example, scroll down to the line that says 'EnableTSView = true' and change this to 'EnableTSView = false'. This will disable TSView.

Save the LFSRelax.cfg file before exiting.

EDIT: Sorry - already covered elsewhere. [Note to self: Read the WHOLE thread next time before replying!] :slap:

Thanks for all those who took the time and effort to explain these changes to an IT dunce You're actions are much appreciated.

You know who you are and you know who you are not ants:.

Happy racin, troops!

7% too much front DF. Try 3 -5%.

Slo mo replays (as well described above), analyze for speed, and the timing of the downshifts can all help you reduce breaking distances.

Cheers for the pointers folks. Had a read thru' the link and another play on the XFG skin last night and things went a lot smoother

Happy skinning people

No accounting for taste :splat:, but it's definately coming together.

This could take up as much time as the actual racing now

To Becky et al:

Now I've had a play and investigate the most of the menus and features I can only doff my cap to you all for a great piece of work.

Granted there may be teething problems but with such a massive upgrade it's not too surprising.

It's amazing the time and effort taken by fans to create such a structured, organised and most excellent addition to the LFS community, and I for one say, thank you all

Quote from Jakg :Just fyi the size it resizes to is 180*240, so if it doesn't upload you can fiddle the image in Photoshop yourself

Ah, it has to be actual size?

Quote from Becky Rose :Can I ask what dimensions the original image was. The software tries to intelligently scale and crop the image and it might be a particular aspect ratio it's struggling with, if I know the original size of your images I can see which bit of code is not coping Thanks.

EDIT: I'm too slow... & Thanks. I will add this to the to do list, as non-urgent for now as there's some bigger bloopers to work through first hehe...

Cheers Becky, it's far from priority....just glad to have the ctra sessions back

Good luck with the rest of yer debloopering

Quote from Riders Motion :You probably haven't used the correct size, I uploaded mine and it works fine

(Look my sig)

113 x 106 pixels is the half shot
Should be fine?

300 x 283 for the original.
Too big, I know (fnarr!)

Quote from FL!P :Great work, guys! The system is really nice and the UI rocks.

I have a bug report about the site, but I didn't find where you want them sent. So here it is: I uploaded the very same image I use here as avatar, and the attached screenshot shows how it appears on my license. Makes me look like I'm paranoid.

Flip

Me too. I only get half a Cartman despite the dimensions being well within given parameters.

One for later eh?

Quote from DeadWolfBones :Sounds very nice, I'll be checking it out soon.

One thing I can't find is where to set/retrieve your MYCTRA password. I can't recall setting mine before, and now I'm unable to login.

I set my password when I first entered CTRA2 - then went to log in at Raceauthority.com and it fails to recognise me?

Any idea where I am going wrong?

Quote from tristancliffe :The PSD's are made by other people, and make making custom suits easier.

I use a honda suit, but no-one elses sees it. If they choose the right skin in game I see my honda suit on their driver...

Put them in your dds folder (I think, might be the pic folder!). One day suits and gloves might be skinnable, but it's unlikely.

So I assume thats an "in game" honda suit?

Erm, I thought suits and gloves were skinable, thats why there are psd downloads on Masterskinnerz.

So try lobbing them in the dds or pic and see what happens aye?

Sorry if questions seem daft, this side of things is all experimental ATM

Quote from garph :No and I take it you didn't save your work either.

Unless you paint over each blue line, but that would be stupid...like say not saving your hard work or even leaving the wireframe on and not saving your hard work....oh, wait..

Thanks for the constructive comments dude
No worries, taken in the good humour they were intended!

One learns by ones mistakes eh? Some quicker than others.....

It was my first effort and I soon figured out to save both psd and jpg versions.....

Anyway, can anybody help me on the 2nd part of the post?

"Also, I managed to individually colour eack part of the wireframe (PS Elements4) to get the jagged lines. I am however, unable to repeat this feat........any ideas how I (aqccidently) managed this?"

Thanks y'all
