Might just to that. Well so long as you don't mean numpty = slow
Tried some of the other TBO servers but tbh all that was missing was Dick Dastardly and the SS cars don't do much for me atm so maybe it would be good to get back into them.
1. We had already been overtaken on the parade lap and were knowingly out of position and a little unsure as to what we should do. Therefore already a little unsettled.
2. S. Alfons then squeezes us and almost tries to overtake thru the chicane where the carnage was. All before the green flag and also a under a waved yellow flag. This left us little room to manouvere
3. We braked into a wall of parked cars and was then hit from behind. You know the rest
Of course we shall always respect the admins decisions, but considering the above I think it's a little harsh including our driver in the mandatory list.
Notwithstanding that, I'll be there for a practice cos it is a good idea
I got off to a good start and gained a spot or two in T1, but then I rolled it at the high speed chicane on lap 3 so had to pit early to fix the damage.
Spent the next hour hotlapping or overtaking a couple of the slower drivers until I eventually caught up with [SR3] K. Shima and we had a good wee battle to the end. Although I couldn't pass him he did drag me along to a new PB, so thx mate!
Great fun
ps: Rudi - your banned from the next one or a carry a passenger for ballast or something
Great driving dude, left us all for dead
You obviously didn't look too close at the back of the grid during the test race. The same thing very nearly happened under pre-race safety car as we came thru the chicane before the start/finish straight!!
I had to grind to a halt as the car in front of me had span on the grass, and, as it was before the green flag I could not overtake The only reason I didn't crash him was because I was being responsible and observing the race rules and ettiquette.
Seems like there isn't any penalty for ignoring these
I'm not talking about yelling at people. But by applying penalties, actions speak louder than words
I also still don't quite follow GabbO's statement that allowing people starting from the pitlane could encourage more reckless driving? Surely in this instance it would have been the fairest thing to do?
I genuinely don't want to sound like a whinger, but if I had caused this catstrophe I'd expect to be heavily penalised.
We also totally appreciate its a difficult siuation to apportion blame (not to mention that damned inconvenient RL getting in the way :razz, but surely you can appreciate our annoyance and frustration?
Anyway, at least Westhill shouldn't have this issue
Welcome to the mad bad world of Enduro admining, good luck guys
Sorry, but tbh I think thats a total cop-out on the first response.
GabbO, you said "Start from the pit is not what we want, this could eventually encourage some people to take more risks..."
Could you explain what you mean by this, not sure I follow?
Notwithstanding that, this was harldy one of those situations
6 weeks practice down the drain..........
True it did get quite messy But, I was spectating on LFS remote and on teamspeak with our driver. From that it was pretty easy to figure out who should have been where in the line up.
How true. I thought the cardinal rule was if you get punted from behind then it was always the other drivers fault
From the rules 6. Race start " The race will be started in a single file rolling start behind the safety car. The safety car will drive
at a constant speed of 150 km/h. Each driver must leave a comfortable gap to the car ahead"
Tbh we do have a little sympathy for the chap who rear ended us and finished race, visibility is zero coming throught that chicane. Its the muppets up front who caused the blockage in the first place who deserve to be penalised in some way during the next race.
Driver to Report: Y. Lapravotte Race Time: 1.07 Lap/Sector: back straight What Happened: We were overtaken prior to the back straight whilst still under pre-race safety car and the place was not returned.
Driver to Report: Lots.... Race Time (not laps): before green flag Description: Caught in the carnage in the final chicane whilst still under pre-race safety car. Ended up being hit from behind and flipped on our side so the race is over before it even began through no fault of our own
Don't suppose theres much that can be done about it but being allowed to start from the pit lane might have been fairer.
