I drive mostly on CTRA Race 3 and almost never experience this type of driving. It's such a nice place to be

Even on Race 2 (although it was a while ago) the standards were very high and people took pride over their cleanliness, albeit mistakes will happen.

The difference between a fast driver and a fast racer is enormous.

Quote from duke_toaster :He clearly has a passion for motorsport, and I guess RBS could be a good background. He wouldn't be my first choice, but he would be a sensible guy to put in charge - more so than Mad Max.

What, the bloke who was in charge when they were part of the worst takeover in the history of takeovers (the Dutch bank, cant remember the name) and ran up £28bn worth worth of debt.

Just because he like to tinker with old classic autos and runs his Ferrari rounf Knockhill now and again doesn't really qualify him in my eyes.

A fine example of replacing one walloper with another

http://news.scotsman.com/topst ... er-F1-job-plan.4914929.jp

How the hell can this man be the one to "maximising the FIA's financial return" and what are his connections/background with motorsport?

Once again, its not about what you know.........

Quote from SidiousX :Anyone here snowboard? If you do, where(and tell us all about it!)

Good fun, but Scotland is a harsh environment to learn in. We call it iceboarding with good reason.

I gave it up up after two shoulder dislocations in a 6 month spell.

Did go to BC for a 3 week session a few years back, what a difference! That was much more like it. Powder doesn't hurt to fall in at all

Quote from arco :Is this being broadcasted somewhere? I see Mp3 Astra connected with Commentary in his nick.

Quote from Mp3 Astra :...... It's currently printing as I type and I will probably use quite a lot of it during the long, lonely hours one must spend as a commentator.

But yes, this is very useful for me indeed - all other teams take note!

Aye, but Sam recently bowed to pressure (j/k!) from the FZR/XRR GT2 brigade, so they got a higher points than if driving an FXR GT2.

http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?t=49656

I don't think that should apply to the GT1's tho.

Quote from obsolum :I would think the "highest" cars you're permitted to drive, as driving cars beneath your license level earns you less points. So if you've got a Platinum license the GTR cars should earn you more points than the GT2 or GFR cars. I'm not sure if the number of drivers in your class actually makes a difference, eg. if there's 6 people on Race 3 and there's 2 drivers in each class, or if they're all running in the same class if you get the same amount of points in both cases.

You would think so eh?

However, I seem to get more points for a decent result in GT2 than the same in GT1

Quote from SabersKunk :Once you're platinum and driving the GT1 class the scores are weighted in favour of the FZR.

Is that the case for GT1 as well? I kinda thought it only applied to GT2.

Seems a bit off if its applied to the unrestricted cars?

A plea for assistance

I don't know wtf I'm doing with skins and layers etc. Photoshop remains a total mystery to me once the quick fix button has been used...

Could some nice chap just do me a plain black skin with the number plate 92 on the doors?

Appreciate its really late to be asking, but I've never had to do this kind of thing before, been caught out

Thanks in advance.

Quote from unseen :I used to work at the Belhaven brewery, which was nice. Free cases of beer each month. I always have liked a pint of Best ever since.

However, now it`s gotta be McEwan`s Champion. Never has a finer pint passed my lips. Definitely recommended to give it a shot if you like a nice heavy and haven`t tried it

Aye, its been fun

I've clocked up exactly 1000 races now with the X-system, and had some of my most enjoyable races ever during that time.

Wins 13%
Podiums 47%
Finishes 90%
Fastest Laps 5%
Yellows 18%

So not very fast, but reasonably consistant. Story of my life

Thanks to all for the racing, see you out there soon

Quote from SamH :It takes some people a LOOONG time to learn to anticipate, and they remain at the back of the grid far longer than they need to.. but they gotta learn somehow, I guess. If it has to be the hard way, that's their choice. And it is a choice, at the end of the day, to learn or not to learn, and to apply those lessons to their racing.

Never a truer word spoken

I'd hate to think how long it took me to expect the unexpected

By default I think I went a bit too far the other way, by perhaps being too cautious/soft in certain circumstances. But hey, it worked, kept me on the track and meant I finished races. Slowly trying to wind it up again and it all makes much more sense. Mind you, it does help having the Race 3 drivers as the competition as 99% of them are complete gentlemen or women, with just a little (but necessary) hint of b*stard .

Stick at it matey, be prepared to give in a little more and you may find you gain more in return.

Quote from SabersKunk :I didn't realise that. Cool. Is that due to the perceived difficulty in driving the fzr over the fxr?

No. its due to pure faggotry by inept FZR drivers
