Quote from J@tko :Hmph - I thought it was Senna at Monaco with 6

Who was it then?

Schumacher with 8 French GP wins.

Quote from mcintyrej :Edit:
I can't belive that a site claiming to have "F1 Facts" got it wrong and Wikipedia got it right. Shows stuff about the internet these days doesn't it.

I know, its shocking. Standards these days are non-existant

8th one down on Drivers Record, white box. It says 6?

Unlucky, but thats what happens when you trust an F1 site run by a woman

Quote from Dajmin :Hold up, hold up, hold up.

You just posted all of that massive amount of text (well written though it may be) just to suggest f*cking tuning options?!

Quote from Zen321 :I didn't post all that massive (well-written may it be) amount of text to ask (or beg as it seems in your mind) for lonely tuning options.

The idea of my post, and I'm sad you didn't understand it is to give more flexibility to the car system and to the events player/organisation can set-up.

Aye, more flexibilty by adding hundreds of tuning options?
No thanks.

I don't understand, that seems to be pretty much all your OP is? Asking to be able to change engine displacement, exhaust diameters etc.

It's a more coherant request than we normally get for these things, but still *insert burning fruit of your choice*

Quote from RocksGt :........ and I'm buying the Ferrari chassis that it's really the best quality / prize combination at this moment

Seems like the right thing to do, although in your position maybe worth considering a McLaren chassis and leaving another 7M to spend on engine/drivers?

You've done really well tho to be top of the sub-league and have a whopping great bank balance

I'm sitting with 10.5M in the bank (soon to be 13M after the bonus money comes in) and I'm not spending anything this time. Heres hoping that Honda (:schwitz and RBR (:nod have a good weekend!

Looks like showers forecast for qualifying (30% chance) and more likely for the race (60% chance). Should be fun!

I was on most nights for a fair period trying to gain my Platinum licence on the CTRA servers.

Since then (2 months?) I've scaled it back a bit, plus the summer is here as theres plenty more options of what to do of an evening rather than sit in front of the computer!

So thats every team played once and us punters have had the chance to see what kind of form everybody has brought into the championships.

So far it's kind of gone to form in all the matches. The only slight surprise was France looking so poor and the beautiful way in which the Netherlands dismantled Italy (I'm a 1/4 Dutch so I know where my allegiances lie!).

So how have the teams shaped up, imo obviously

Austria - no comment, don't want to offend anybody from that lovely country, but - lol

Croatia - viable winners until Eduardo was crocked. Lovely to watch and one of the more charismatic managers. Probable semi-finalists.

Czech Rep - struggled a bit in thier opening match, will be interesting to see if they have more to offer. Not too good up front.

France - abysmal display. Clearly had too many non-Leos in their squad. Glad to see their arrogance shattered and Domeneche given a proper wake up call.

Germany - very solid performance against their big rivals, and the strikers look deadly. They will take some stopping, and probably won't be.

Greece - was that for real last night? Shockingly poor and negative. Can only hope they bog off home with a grand total of nil points.

Italy - were my tip to win before a ball was kicked. Looked their age and no real creativity in midfield. Still no mugs, dismiss at your peril.

Netherlands - come on you Dutchies! Too early to get excited, but on that sort of form the Germans might have a proper challenger.

Poland - not even the holy goalie will be enough to save them from an early bath. Expected more from them but it was a tough opener.

Portugal - strangely soft defensively looking despite the individuals on show. Will Ronaldo spark? As long as they stop this 'rolling around as if shot' malarky whenever a tackle comes in. Cringeworthy at times.

Romania - might have been in with a chance of progress outwith the Group of Death.

Russia - harsh for them to lose their main playmaker before the tournament, then to run into the Spanish in that form. Hiddink is no dafty though, can still qualify from the group stages.

Spain - Wonderful display last night against Russia, defence remains suspect tho. If they lose Puyol they are as good as out.

Sweden - typical Swedish team with toughness and guile throughout the pitch. Maybe not enough in midfield in the long run.

Switzerland - valiant triers, a step up in class from their co-hosts. Will still be be lucky to grab a point before the end of the group stages.

Turkey - not got the class to annoy the big guns, looking forward to their grudge match against Switzerland.

So in summary, I'd love to see the Dutch do the business, but those damned Germans are just too good at winning! Honourable mention to the Iberian nearly men.

TBH, I'm not a LH fan but I was getting ready to eat a bit of humble pie when Louise caught him for a short interview after the incident. I was expecting him to totally own up to his own ineptitude and offer profuse apologies to all those concerned, namely Raikonnen.

I mean there was no other way he could come out of that situation with any sort of credibility.

But no. Instead all we heard was "it wisnae ma fault, these things happen"

What a complete fud, but glad to say my judge of charachter remains fairly solid

nb - double lol at Rosberg for going into the back of Hamilton. I was totally RAFPMSL when that happened

Thanks, I knew someone wouldn't disappoint

Still, when yer national dish comprises blended sheep inners, deep fried choclate bars can seem positively welcoming

Just kidding, I loves me haggis and would never try one of these monstrosoties in the link, I mean wtf does it look like in the pictures :vomit:

Oh, and it is a cracking chippy!

Anyway, back OT - LFS is a long term game, patience is required. But all the more sweet when the good stuff arrives. So stroll on X2, hopefully it'll knit nicely with patch Z

No problem with over-gripping or tense legs etc, but I find I tend to hold my breath and only inhale/exhale during the straights

Makes for some weird noises on teamspeak plus others can usually tell when I'm on a good lap!

@ yeager - it really doesn't take that long to get from gold to platinum. As you must know from having a silver licence, the GTR2's and LRF cars can rack up some real nice points on a busy server if you are near the head of the pack. I think my best was 147 points from a single race

Now platinum to titanium, that is a long way

Sounds like a plan, Sam

Would be good to give Gold licence earners a 'prize' and keep it in line with the other licences. After all, they all offer an increased scope of cars available upon achievement.

Plus Silver drivers in LRF cars get far too many points

It would be an improvement if Gold unlocked the LRF. But when I last suggested it the idea was shot down.

Quote from Scawen :That will be the main improvement in Y21.

It's already working in my version and producing good a frame rate increase when there are a lot of cars on the screen.

I just need to update it in the best way to minimise pit-out glitch and memory usage. Iin my version now every car generates its own subobjects and the hardware version of them so pit-out glitch would be a bit worse than Y20. I plan to make it better than Y20 by sharing subobjects between cars in the same way that there is one global helmet mesh shared between all drivers. I'm also looking at improving the wheel drawing system and using hardware meshes for the non-rubber parts as that is now the worst remaining slowdown on cars.

Fantastic, sounds like you may have extended the useful life of my computer by another couple of years

The pit-out glitch has never been so noticeable as it is just now (running Y18) and anything which can be done to improve this would be most welcome

You sound like someone who is complete fanboi about Hamilton. Probably set your position at the beginning of the year that he walked on water, and are now thinking of a million excuses as to why his great performances are not that great, just so you don't make yourself look like a fool. If Hamilton had done what Kimi did nobody would be that surprised.

Please, stop the AS references........ are you related to james Allen?

What about the dozy pair (HK and NH?) who refused to unlap themselves from behind the 2nd safety car and held the race up by a couple of laps?

Their teams need a boot up the jacksy for that blatant time wasting

All in all that was a pretty darn good race to watch, despite the Hamilton/Senna BS live-stream from, from, from........words fail me

Too much was made of McLarens 'outstanding' strategic work (flamin' obvious after LH's puncture) and Ferrari's lost gamble that the rain would return.

Would have loved to see RK score his first victory, I like his style. Hopefully it won't be too long, but McLaren are usually strong in Canada.....
