After a driver/cab cleaner and upgrade to 9600 pro, I had to install the full driver + CCC pack. Then reboot and delete the CCC and install ATI tray tools instead.

Long way round but only way I could get it to work

I only ever practice for and race in GTAL nowadays, after 3.5 years fully licenced its not unusual for some stagnation to set in and the value for money has been nothing short of incredible.

Also like to watch the biathlon, skiing of any kind (incl. the jump nutters off the big hill, but not moguls, thats seriously pants). The snowboarding is pretty gay to watch, much more fun in practice.

Ice prancing - cram it.

The luge/bobsleigh stuff is cool for about ten minutes until you realise the top ten runners are covered by 0.005 of a second (and those are all German teams )

Between the BBC and Eurosport we've had some good coverage. Especially the French lass who fell over 3 yards after the start gate on one of the skiing events

For me, slower is faster in the RAC. Be super-smooth and sure to carry as much apex speed as possible thru' the turn after the straight and final turn, even if you compromise the entrance slightly in favour of a good exit.
Also worth concentrating on getting a decent entry to T1, but again place more focus on the exit from the chicane to maximise speed down the back straight.

I think its much fairer to include another team from the waiting list rather than the guest teams. This adds a more realistic depth of field ability/spread.

Honestly man, we know we're not the fastest drivers and are open to constructive criticism! But a dab of the left, say 25% (whilst still on full throttle) to kill the acceleration slightly, in order to give way to a car which is "concentrating on getting around us" doesn't sound unreasonable to me.

The edit thing: that was our only even slight contact with any other cars during the race. Apart from when I drove into a spinner right ahead of me

No biggie, I just think our driver, under those circumstances, is undeserving of criticism.

Can we drop it now pls?

It was a dab of left foot brake to facilitate the pass, not liked we slammed the anchors on.

Is that was caused the problem? Or the subsequent nose-chopping manouevre?

The spdo driver reacted very fast but unfortunately he went back to the right...

1. We braked to on the straight to let him past. There was no need to defend the chicane from us. Fact.

2. Under these circumstances, normal practice is to stay on racing line and let lapping car over take using the drag and our braking.

3. spdo driver should know better.....

Don't think it's too much to expect better from these hallowed Advanced Drivers

Otherwise it was a really good race, proper enjoyed it. Don't quite know wtf to think about the whole jump start arguement, but its clear something is very wrong if #27's start was legal.

Check out the incident between cars 00 and 09 beginning at 41.05.

Car 09 left foot breaks on the straight giving way under blue flag. During the overtake, the "Advanced Driver" from spdo cleverly decides to cut back onto the racing line when there was no requirement to do so, wipes us out and sends his own into orbit.

That same 'overtake under blue flag' move happened plenty other times with the rest of the faster Amateur drivers and there was never an issue

Sore one, and not even an apology.
