you can already do that with the logitech profiler (don't know about the other wheels).
And about the problem of the threadstarter. I don't see why mapping buttons to the wheel would help if you lose your FFB.
Anyway, i don't need such an option, the profiler works fine for me. If it's implemented, i think it should be done by the cfg file (like CS e.g.), because the menu in LFS is already complicated enough, and if you have to map all functions first, it would scare newbies even more
Try rFactor, and you know what i mean
just a little remark, you shouldn't do this if you using programs like teamspeak2 while playing lfs.
I've done this with GTR and it took some time to figure out why my TS didn't work properly anymore
if you need to change from 200 to 900° you probably got an older driver version. you can only set this in the profiler with the 4.60 version, where 900° is used as default.
Well, scawen fixed the problem in the demo, where you got a DQ if you pitted in last or 2nd last lap and got a penalty, because you can't do you penalty stop in the last lap (race is over before reaching the end of the pitlane).
It was fixed, now you get a 30/45sec penalty if you're too fast in the last 3 laps.
But the problem is still there if you have a time based raced.
I think scawen should add a time limit where you get a time penalty instead of a DT/S&G, e.g. 5 minutes before the end of the race you get time penalties (like the 3 laps in lap based races)
but it's still a problem, because you should have to chose if you want to do your penalty stop or a repair stop.
You should be able to tell LFS that you want to do a normal pitstop the next time you pit. of course you would have to do your penalty stop later.
Because a lap on Aston GP can be very long with a damaged car
a simple but great idea! also i like the idea of having a flag on the GTR cars, but more importantly having more than 8 digits, but that was suggested a million times.
it's not hard to use recorded sounds like GTR or rF.
LFS has another philosphy, you'll have to accept that. And maybe someday it's as good as those 2 games, but with all the advantages of synthesized sounds.
