congrats for published mod, drive great looks great, but sounds are kinda off because it's too rough, but allow me to recheck real stock supra to compare

but judging from how LFSE top-left menu looks like, I think it's quite tricky for you to put some layout to enable those control, but I hope you get the ideas about hide-unhide one or some subobjects and figured out how to implement that Big grin

havent tried to mess around with subobject names in D15 after updating, but the positioning pretty neat I would say, less confusing too because it's arranged by vertical lists, instead "too many A" buttons Big grin

second and last, again, is this normal we cannot move or resize S_PLATE_ALP cutout? I have tried many times to resize it, but I just realized, whenever I drag the edge or center point on the cutout, it being reset to original place like what I've been screenshot it.

I think on LFSE earlier build, this isnt happen, that's why I'm asking if is this normal (and intended, since this are license plate, to get full fledge alphanumeric character), or this kind of bug

Hello, I dont know where to ask if this normal, or bug, but let me break down the questions into 2 posts

First one, I tried to change S_PLATE_ALP to different mode, from ALPHA TEST and TREE EDGE ALPHA, whenever I exit from modeller, it resets to ALPHA only, is this bug or what?

why I test this, because in-game, I found out, when seeing that lettering I made, it doesnt show up when I'm viewing it from the exterior, but when in interior I could see it, I'm also seeing this differences both on Editor (LFSE general), 3D modeller mode, and in-game, which in 3D modeller it looks fine, but in Editor and in-game, the anomaly happens

this one might be minor, because I think it wont affect anything technically, but I just wanted to make sure this aint bug, this is just normal on recent graphical system only, I'm on modeller test patch D14 right now

I'm scratching my head many times, thinking if "am I done making those lettering double-sided? or I missed that?" but I just realized it's already double-sided

I confirm, the download speed are now faster now for me who living slowest internet speed in Asia region, and for mods that have big file size now are downloaded successfully without any incomplete file download. I would say it's well done Big grin

the only things that still need to test with my ISP too are, when connecting to servers outside US and Asia for joining any server room, it often timed out, sometimes cannot entering the server, sometimes can connect but in the middle of race or cruise, I often kicked out due to time out. my ISP probably are on NAT3 state which very restrictive, but other games beside LFS are fine despite experiencing huge lag spikes

While trying different servers, as I did, I am too amazed by how many mods "I" downloaded without even trying them once, so that mods folder may grow a lot without the user noticing it.
In my case, having good internet connection, the downloads were always very fast (FFTH, Italy - Rome) so I did not feel they were somewhat heavy.

IMHO I liked this general ideas, preventing stolen mods also

Buuuuut, for a slow speed internet connections like in here in my place, redownloading mods to be used on server you're joining again is quite painful waiting the download speed of it

Hello, I come again to put some suggestion here

Soooooo I just working on derivatives mod for a while, and I think we just missing out function to hide-unhide subobjects

For me, it's same crucial just like how we hide-unhide tris and points, so when we working on specific subobject, we can hide the other subobject that overlapping our view to recent subobject that we working on

Also, could we have options to merge 2 subobjects, beside merge sub to main which already exist?

well, for me personally, it's addicting because I could directly see the result without opening the main LFS program, so if I ever spot irregularities on the model that I'm making, I could fix it directly, also I could adjust the mechanical aspect based on the 3D model I'm making there, it's addicting to me personally, makes me kinda autistic when working with it hahaha

also, it's challenging because control input relatively simple yet completely different treat than any other 3d modeller, let's say in 3dsmax, there's cut tools to split 1 quad to 2 or many quads just in that area we're select, while in LFSE, in build mode, when we click on 2 points, there's a blue (?) or grey points, that if we click it makes another split to it, and redo the process to the another tris that we want to split.

so yeah, that's why Big grin

Oh, if it specific for modeller, then maybe my suggestion were M for "Fuse to Average", and alt+M for "Fuse to Green" since Shift+M already assigned with "Map" tab, because in Blender if I remembered correct (havent open Blender for a long time because LFSE more addicting and challenging to make something), M were also assigned for fuse (or Merge in Blender menu says)

Or maybe.... can we have a dialog version just like when we tried to extrude points? Would be feel handy with only hotkey M, just like how E for Extrude were defined Big grin

I do wish there's a limiter on all settings like suspension, drivetrain, etc, so we could have one car with limited or even fixed setup,

also, waiting hotkey for "fuse to green" and "fuse to average" Big grin

IMHO as ex e-sport player that have competes on asian level, LFS AI lacks of exciting duels, as you can see, even on some occasion, fastest AI holding them back against the slowest AI until finished, and oh if theyre driving equal car, most of the time the car that being overtaken, slowing down for nothing, to be a comparation, I have driving 3 wide against another player on Assetto Corsa just to defend the 5th position, and seeing how AI in LFS racing, it just make me way bored to watch it without any sacrifice on both AIs

Also, AI reactions are too slow, so I personally fine if AI system arent priority to develop, I prefer doing Time Trial rather than race with AI, except if I wanted to practice my racecraft for competitive racing again, which I already quit from it 3 years ago

Hello, actually I'm not usually making thread about what mod that I'm making, but this time, I wanted to make a side plan, but probably would be early 2024 to be released, just like how my Veloce GT released this year.

okay so, based on my Veloce GT which I classified it as Sportscar since it's compact, also a Roadster because it's open top. The car I'm making now are classified as Hypercar, so it probably have wheelbase around 26xx-28xx, wider track, have V12 Naturally Aspirated engine, ofcourse same as Veloce GT, it have full electronics, but as because LFS didnt support Hybrid engine, so I'll go with V12 N/A but with plenty of electronics, says TC, Engine Brake Reductions, ABS, paddle shift, etc etc

I dont have a plan about how power figure will be, but with 1350kgs dry weight, I think the most reasonable power are in between 600-700bhp for it

let's talk about design wise, well, after playing BeamNG, I just notice that this beauty car Exist, it's Civetta Scintilla, it reminiscent of Ferrari car, so I planned to made the same design as this Scintilla, but with my noob skills of modelling

I need to sketch my own design first before get into modelling through LFSE

Whoa, this motivates me a lot, total dedication from Scawen and Eric, working on Black & White, up until who they are today

So much inspires me, I kinda hate my job where I'm working now, and almost feeling hopeless, doing mods here is just like my escapism to free my mind from stresses and depressions I do wish I could be like this 2 guys that doing what they love the most, chasing and following their dreams

Anyway I might be missed the story, but why LFS are only consist of 3 people of developers? Why dont recruit more hands to speed up LFS development and keeping up with famous sim racing out there? Is there any back story that makes the developing team stays 3 people only? I would like to know Big grin

tbh this styling are so me, but unfortunately you need to work hard for handling, since 900bhp with only under 1100kgs waaay to beast, it's handling poorly, maybe if you rework on chassis and suspension geometry, it could be lovely setting time on the South City courses

I hate to ask this since you already put LFS modding officially, Sir Scawen, but is it possible in the future, we have option to put an option for brake wear / brake fading capabilities?

Also, I would like to have an option to make some limited setup, or even fixed setup for some road-going car, which if compared to some other simulator out there, they differs between race car and road going car by its capabilities of setting setups, that might be interesting if exist, so any road-going car could be more exciting to compete, imagine one make race from 1 model car, which only able to edit several setup, i.e. roll bar only, and so on

I initially would include my wish to have brake squealling sound too, but I'm afraid it might be too complex, and became disadvantage for peasant spec to have processing that sound, so I will keep it until 2 eish above are became exist, thanks from Indonesia, Sir Scawen and team πŸ˜„
