well they wanted to slow down FZ and have faster FX there you have it...

Race...
start one big mess, luckily stayed out of trouble, during race some drivers just like to hit the chicane tires so I got one in my ideal line, boom dead front collision --> out of track
also some eager cars around fighting so hard so they screw up both... luckily passed between those 2 FZ9s, can't wait to see it on replay or stream
pitstop... one big sh*t hole, going to park on one spot, but the driver on the left just decides he's gone exit before I park, ... my new paint on my doors... then bavorak gets disconnected due to some other **** LFS stuff, so I had to wait before one of the last spots if he can reconnect or what's going to be next, waiting somebody just decides he's gonna reverse 2 places back coz he missed all pit places... taking my place... so I had to change view see if somebody is behind me on the spot and reverse on it... just magnificent, then change with other driver from the team who's got on the server ... at least 1 min lost by those pit problems... according to tracker times, I can't say I like the server... lags before every start, sometimes during race and connecting when changing drivers is a nightmare, and we have only one lap to do it... not enough time with that server I can say, server full, server disconnect, some JOOS stuff just nice wouldn't be fun without it
I would say: long surname = don't use that much colors
There is 23 characters, if you use 3 for number and space you have 20 chars to your own use, 3 for Name with dot and space, 17 for surname That would be hell of a long surname with over 17 chars.
Anybody for stint someday? Just don't like to drive alone or with hotlappers all around. Need to test new settings in long run, short run looking good.
EDIT: PM me if interested, I'm not checking here all the time.
I would say fried, cooked, whatever overheated or damaged GPU, at least that's the only way I was able to see such Graphic problems.
If you didn't mess with LFS or try to download the default and test, it's very likely a GPU problem or a Driver problem, but I would be surprised about the drivers after so many years of their development, I'm used to different graphic problems with drivers.
Is it doing right after start of LFS? or after 1 hour when the GPU gets hot?
etc. I would suggest inspect GPU, do a series of graphic tests, benchmarks, and monitor the temperature of Graphic card. Try to use latest drivers available.
congrats to all
I don't know why I didn't see the green flag, I late started, sorry for the FZ in sand, in first lap or so, but I had no where to go, it was overtaking me, pushing me out of corner T2, managed to stay on track and cut the T3a but FZ wanted to go right again not having enough overlap it kind of killed itself and drifted out to the right to sand. Screwed the pit stop a bit, I just can't see where the spot is when there are no people etc. it's just drive and guess where to stop all the time.
Very good race, had to defend my position etc. both my teammates did a good job, start 8 finish 8 (if I'm not wrong), good job.
ok so how do you get those with decimal point?
well turbo has lag imho lower power --> more lag, the size of the turbo is the same but the intake is smaller
yes pls be aware of your surroundings, and keep distance under SC! I was warming up tires and got hit 2x because somebody was beside me...
don't worry there is enough time to catch the leader behind SC KEEP SAFE DISTANCE
It's hard to overtake on KY2R...(at least for me) but that doesn't mean you go crazy and overtake with high speed coming in to the corner inside.
The start is really crazy, before there are gaps between cars, everybody is eager for every millimeter and every possible overtake.
I hope after Qualification people will understand that the car in front is probably faster, so no reason to overtake just take your time you have 3 hours and drive safe. Don't tell me you would drive like that in real car, trying to kill yourself and somebody else at the start (first 10 laps) of a race.
Want to drive first and get away? Do a good Q time, take a light car (low fuel) and fly away.
sorry for any mess, all day connection is fine, then the race starts and it gets overloaded, disconnect, rejoin disconnect again, ... can't get on server anymore, I hope it will unblock me later
Moving tomorrow back to school, can't stand this place especially with that bad connection, just couldn't resist to try the test race.
maybe I'll try to come, but I'll be home on that day so I might disconnect and such **** stuff, coming back on Friday or Saturday so I can drive the Round 1 from good connection
So on start it's don't wait for S/F line and after SC restart wait for S/F line.
So after SC restart I have green flag, but I can't overtake until S/F line.
Correct?

$SC, Yes I found it, but it says:
So it's like I'm stuck, $SC, alright you can spectate... race is over for you.
So there is actually tow coming to help.
---
Yes, better to ask before race than complain after.
Will be they available here on forum to give advices for each round? Eg. setup advices, racing line advices, strategy, etc.
Or what is the meaning of that team?
--- $SC is a:
6. Miscellanyo NOT under any circumstances Shift+P or Shift+S during the race without authorization from Race Control. If you are beached or upside down, please use the $SC bind to alert us if we have not already called the yellow. We will tell you to spectate shortly thereafter.
OK what if I get stuck in sand and can't get out without help (XR, maybe FZ also), can I request help somehow?
---
If I get it correctly on race start I can overtake immediately after green flag, not required to wait for Start/Finish line.
When SC is deployed and race restarted, SC pulls over to pits, Leader sets the pace, then accelerates, green flag is shown, BUT no overtaking until crossing the S/F line?
A bit weird to me, it should be the same for start and restart, are we required to wait on restart after SC for S/F line? Or not?
Well it really depends on the setup a lot too, see VHPA with the FZx set loaded, mainly the Damping tab can help you understand.
I can't drive FZR fast, maybe some FZ2 on certain tracks I can manage. (Mouse + Keyb., Gas/Brake - Full/None ==> Drifting/Spinning)
Just to inform you, one of the reasons I still play LFS is that it can run on my 4y old NB, and no way I have 100s of FPS
Yes my friend had around 200+fps with a bit decent machine.
But I have like 20-100 fps depends on grid.
The graphics is OK for me and I have seen much worse, there is nothing I could remember that I don't like with LFS graphics. Yes the standard textures sucks etc. but if you develop your own pack of textures it looks much much better!
Yes deformation etc. wheels flying around killing people on podiums etc. would be nice but I would switch it off anyway if it would be sacrificing performance and it wouldn't have effect on physics.
Graphics, the stuff you want is a work for lets say 100 peole 1 year or more, look at NFS what ever as I got the impression you want that graphics, they developed the game with huge I mean really huge budget for many years with a lot of people, so yes it looks nice because that's the goal! Look nice, play easily, sell a lot of copies, make a lot of $$$.
Now look at LFS and how many people is developing it
Yes it's IMHO dumb, but maybe they have a good reason why they want to have it that way, no big income, you have to trust the people who develop it, etc.
If you think creating a game is easy/quick, go ahead and try it yourself
I can tell you, it ain't.
---
Well I don't like most of them they just sacrifice the simplicity of view and it wil be harder for eyes to see what is where and to orientate yourself, those effects will kind of blind you in a way.
Why do you think pro players of FPS games turn the graphics off? To make it more simple and to get more FPS, It's easier to orientate and to see the enemy, Q3 picmip, CoD4 lod (details) etc.
Of course FMR & RMR layouts are probably better and easier to drive.
Having an engine sticking out of the car in front or rear is not a good idea. But Porsche kind of mastered the RR layout, think of a 911 as a 70 year long evolution of VW Beetle. (60y from Porsche 356) They just know now how to do it so it's drivable
With some cars you step on gas at the apex, with bad cars even after, but with good ones or those with lot of traction+grip you might even just brake-turn-and.floor.the.gas.asap (at least in LFS)
I didn't participate, just watched, toooo busy to prepare, I even unlocked LFS at 19:30 (Qualification start time for me), computer reinstall after 2.5 years
Damn hard combo that is for me, don't like AS4 and AS in general, kind of F1 track it seems to me.
Was a good race to watch, but the second SC :smash3d:
Not that it is a reliable source but was first to find it there:
Yes Porsche is quite unique, hard to setup properly, but if done correctly it's a beast.
You would be surprised, the once most common cars in Czech, Skoda 100/105/120 etc. and the older ones has the same "stupid" engine layout (engine behind the rear wheels), they are just terrible but simple and are still quite common here, average age of the 105/120 is 28 years, still at the beginning of 2010 they had 5.38% share of all registered cars in Czech (Skoda 100/105/120 cars with this engine layout).
Why is this weight distribution IMHO better?
Better cornering, better rear grip. (On a race track. For Rally I would get 50/50 4WD )
