alright, there is another speedhack around, just have one player now on Cargame.nl S2. Driving RB4, sensibly or stupidly, decide for yourself. First time just flew through a grid and crashed all GT2s in front.
Maybe CG tried to ban him on the server but it did not work and he's now back again. So more replays. (2013-07-10 16.00-17.00 CEST races on Cargame.nl S2)
Yeah sometimes it starts behind the scenes and can be alt-tabbed to if it does not appear on start bar. WinXP.
etc. other applications don't do that at all or almost at all.
My guess is it just gets stuck somewhere sometimes, that's another issue that used to happen that it would not load completely.
But this window on background is more OS related than LFS probably.
+1 car selection is one of the things everybody has to consider before entering, find out with what car you're most competitive on the selected tracks and race/quali format.
---
The cars won't ever be perfectly balanced track time wise unless there would be custom restrictions for each track for all of the cars selected. They are quite different cars. Have fun figuring out all those restrictions
A few questions to clarify things, just read the document.
Is it allowed to overtake immediately after green flag or does one have to wait to cross the start/finish line and then can overtake on flying race start in this league?
Is it allowed to jump to pits during qualifying? SHIFT+P
Are we required to spectate (and retire) after a crash to avoid more collisions with the field? Or should we stay on track and try to avoid collisions if we can, safely rejoin track if possible.
I don't like pit jumping neither spectating but I guess jumping to pits is allowed and spectating is not required?
Correct me if I'm wrong:
As I understand, there is no tracker and if one loses connection, they can come back to the server and see if it was mass disconnect or not, but in any case cannot rejoin the race.
There is no safety car, if one gets stuck it's game over.
What about rule B.3 and the change of FX2 to 22% before season start?
FX2 is fast enough in the right hands. But in every league people complain. FXR has few advantages over the rest: 4x4 = getting out of sand rather easily, stable and harder to spin out, overall safer and easier to get across the finish line, easy to drive. Sure it's not fastest lap record breaker on most tracks but it excels elsewhere. Along with different driving possibilities, harder brakes/shorter stopping distance, faster corner exits. Get a draft and you get the speed of your competing cars on the straight plus better cornering. I say it's a beast with the stock and long used restrictions.
Will check it. But as I see Luron released some patch on it.
I have to rehost it, you know after a few years the websites, hostings etc. do change and cease to exist. Nobody hit me with a PM so I can't notice. I think I did rehost it once already but that site went down for sure, it's up again but not the files.
Yes there always were some bugs around, especially when the replay jumping/seeking was introduced. I don't even want to know what it may do if you jump forward and then back etc.
As Gai-Luron said, it's pointless for anybody to work on tools for LFS.
Nothing changed in the past couple years or so
I still see people using LFSStat and they don't tell me they have a problem, if they had, they resolved it
If S3 is ever going to be released, it may as well be worth it to start some tools from scratch
Anybody looking for a complete up to date LFSStat with nice graphs, download here.
Hopefully we will get yamakawa to share the sources as well
Sure that code should do it, would you share your source code with project files?
I could replace the old Graph with your new YGraph and maybe see if it could not be easily modified for other graphs. I think I also already noticed an error in your YGraph, the same that was in LFSStat, it does not handle character encoding correctly and foreign language names are a mess. I don't know how it work with your Japanese but I suppose not at all?
Race time progress graph, will get done when somebody needs it and makes it
I'll check LFSStat thread if there are any requests and needs.
Dygear: yes that's correct I think. I've asked him for the sources, will see if we can get them here. I think it would be useful for others to reuse, modify.
Cannot login to LFSWorld, can login on lfs.net, thought it might be a password issue but nope. lfs.net works fine, changed password, but LFSW still nothing. Tried a different web browser as well etc.
So, yeah, a patch mess, but nothing forced LFS to update so far. At least until now that I can't connect to master server anymore...
Either it's down or it forgot to tell me to get 0.6D. Strange.
I'm running a normal, standard 0.6B that was updated to this version 0.6B automatically via LFS. At least I think so.
No problem to connect to servers A or B.
It's pretty simple when it comes to patches, use the standard ones and don't mess with betas, alphas, etc. because then most people won't be able to connect to the server if you upgrade to an incompatible version.
As far as client goes... just keep the old .exe or just download the LFS package from lfs.net again, it has the standard version .exe.
trial and error, learn about setup making first, when I turn almost any RWD car the inside front has no grip, so dunno how come you have it, or why does it have to be off ground... it's bad enough it doesn't have any weight on it already.
