Wrong. Oh so wrong. Those 650 or so MPs don't actually have to listen to what the people think. They're MEANT to, but due to the way party politics works over here it is rare to see it. More often than not it's the ruling party's stance on the issue that eventually gets put into Law, not that of (even the majority of) the people. And of course, since the Police etc are upholders of said law there's very little you can do to stop it, I'm afraid. (Short of electing someone else, but that won't happen for a while yet)
That's exactly what I mean, yes
I was lucky to get the one I have now, it was given to me as part of an old P1 system. Now this is starting to act up I want something to replace it. Hard search, unfortunately
I'm a fan of mechanical keyboards and am having real difficulty finding one to replace my rather old, dilapidated thing that the LEDs have stopped working on and is generally showing its age. I've seen Das Keyboard, but that costs way too much for my (rather studenty) budget. If anyone knows of any cheaper keyboards that can be shipped to the UK for a reasonable price then I'd appreciate it if you could point me at them here. Layout isn't important, I touch type anyway (and can remap keys rather easily)
The only thing I don't like is the blue LED on the power button. For some reason blue LEDs, strip lights etc mess with my eyes.I should really get the LED replaced but heh
Get a licence if you're going to be driving. No two ways about it at all. Stuff the PC until you get a licence. If you end up getting caught without one you WILL get in MASSIVE trouble with the law. I'd rather have the knowledge that I'm not going to get pulled over just driving along than risking it every time I wanted to go somewhere.
The common ground for the past few years with regards to Linux support is: if you want a decent 3D card with drivers that work, get nVidia. This is becoming less and less the case, however. nVidia's drivers have been getting gradually buggier, but the ATI drivers are in a worse state. Just as long as you avoid the 180.xx series in terms of nVidia drivers you should be okay. ATI is a matter of don't even go there if you want to keep everything else up to date.
As for the argument - as someone without the pain of a thousand ladies, I wish Jack the best. If he wanted to buy his girlfriend something, who's to say no? And who's to say that she's just using him? There ARE some genuine girls out there...and in greater quantity than people lead you to believe. She's clearly a keeper if they're still together after a year and 3 months.
The assumption of "well <insert name here> had no trouble, so neither will I" is a stupid one to make. Every individual is different, even in the same family. Where one person may not get a smoking-related illness, another may get one at an early age. It's never something you can take for granted.
No. The addressing limit on 32bit Windows is exactly 4GB (2^32 bytes). From that it addresses main RAM, graphics RAM and a few other things, so it's likely you'll never see more than about 3.5GB. The each app only being able to use 2GB is right, though.
