Quote from tikshow :check the acid in the battery, there are some tools for it, and those are very cheap, if it isn't good enough, or the amount of the acid is too low, then you can fill it up with "distillated" water,

He probably can't check the acid level, as far as i know motorcycles are fitted with sealed gel batteries.

Maybe it just died? Batteries don't last forever.
You could also measure with a multimeter how much current your bike draws when turned off.

Well, i think the problem with Opel is that their pre-2004 models just were average cars. Not bad cars, but they didn't really have something that made you really want that car. Average performance, dull looks, dull handling, etc. No unique selling point(s). The "Ferrari wannabe" models (the Calibra and Manta) and quality problems around 1990 also didn't really do any good to their image
That Asta Coupe was actually designed by Bertone and tuned by Lotus. It didn't really have an Astra price tag though, it was quite expensive.

The gear shifter isn't analog, so you'll either have full speed ahead or full speed reverse. Not really useful on a speedboard :P
a few sims:
Virtual Skipper
Virtual Sailor
Ship Simulator 2008

It's been a while since i played those, but they should all support joysticks.

Quote from skolekaj :it was once my dads company pc and they didnt need it

EDIT: and the sad side is it cant take usb2.0 even though its not an usb 2.0 pc i would of thought it could take it

I can see why, even MS Office will be painfully slow on that It's about 8 or 9 years old.

USB 2.0 devices should work on older USB 1.1 ports. But what windows does it run? If it's 98 or worse, you'll need a driver for USB sticks etc to work.

Holy crap that thing is old
Maybe Destruction Derby 2 will work on that, but don't expect too much. Carmageddon might also work.

Quite disturbing that a sports car in LFS is actually based on a Vauxhall, is it?

Quote from Xaid0n :Not when you're about to hit them it don't, you're constantly on and off the gas when you're faster than the truck ahead, and if you are faster, why stay behind?

How about actually using cruise control, instead of abusing the speed limiter as cruise control?
Faster than the truck in front... You mean that 0.5 mph extra? Requiring several miles to overtake a 16 meter truck isn't significantly faster, is it?

Quote from james12s :i dont think peopel often realise about trucks and about drving them, and how you have to drive them, with a truck one of the most important things is fuel economy especially with diesel the price it is now so have to keep slowing down ruins fuel economy, thats why if you see 1 truck try to overtake another, you will never see him lift of, ever

Then why did he overtake anyway? driving behind another truck massively improves fuel economy.

Quote from obsolum :Well there ya go

This gets me thinking, though... If they can make it so that illegitimate copies of the game don't have access to the in-game internet - which, by the way, is hilarious a lot of the time! - why don't they do that with all other things that add to the fun in the game?

You don't remember the permanent drunk driving, stuck throttle and exploding cars?

We all know that gas guzzeling cars kill the planet and drivers of such cars are on the death list of several green terrorist organisations, so here's the solution:

Quote from Jakg :
my mobo is WiFi but i've lost the sodding antenna

Just buy a new antenna then

You could also build a ghetto antenna, by fiddling a wire on the center pin of the antenna connector It should be about 6cm long.

Can't help you with the driver, but can't you use anything else? USB Ethernet adapters are horrible. You won't get more than about 800KB/s and your ping time will be quite poor (15 ms is no exception).

Quote from gezmoor :A Mirror?

Mirrors don't bend light, they reflect light. Straight line coming in, straight line coming out.
The only way to bend light is by gravity. A strong enough gravity can only be "produced" by a very, very large mass, like the sun or a black hole.

Quote from sgt.flippy :Vsync synchronises the vertical pixel lines with the horizontal ones. You should only really turn it on when you get flickering, otherwise it would just take away framerates.

That's what I was told at least

A display has a certain refresh rate, tft panels usually 60 or 75 hz. Vsync makes sure that the display buffer can't be changed during a refresh cycle. It synchronizes a display buffer update (a new frame) with the vertical blanking interval (the "blank" period between two refresh cycles).

Quote from dougie-lampkin :I'm possibly the anti-christ for you audiophiles. My entire speaker setup is wired with alarm cable

Is that it? Mine is wired with telephone cord
and ph33r my amplifier: Philips 22rh741

I don't use it at all, I couldn't care less about sound quality. I still use the dirt cheap stereo speakerset that came with my pentium 1 pc. It has massive 3 inch drivers.

Quote from '[Viking :Soundblaster Audigy and X-Fi cards are good.

Maybe if you turn of all the sound processing crap those cards have, but even then i'm not sure if those cards are really good. I'm not talking about voodoo stuff, but measurable electrical characteristics. As far as i know you can't turn off the internal 44.1Khz > 48Khz upsampling on the Audigy cards.

Quote from Niels Heusinkveld :Cables for $1000 per meter are commonplace, yet you can't fault a piece of $1 piece of decent copper. Try those cables on your coffee machine and enjoy a new taste! Err.. Oh not to mention your washing machine; colors preserve a lot better with a 2000 quid cable.. But in audio, yes, every expense somehow changes.. no.. not that.. IMPROVES the sound!

Ah yes, i love that cable discussion. Even 100MHz oscilloscope probes aren't that expensive. And when you pop the lid of the mighty expensive amplifier, behold, masses of unshielded ribbon wire running next to the power supply.
It gets even better with SPDIF/TOSLINK. I've even seen shielded gold plated optical interlinks If you can find something at home that is able to bend light please tell me, I want to be sure that i'm not living next to you
