...good post mate. It's true, LFS is so worth the money whatever you can think and compare it to. It's even cheaper than some big games at release date. LFS is just a great racing simulator that englobes all sorts of amazing thing that is not fun to miss out on.
I've always had one problem with that vid... I don't like how the XRR (whatever the real sound comes from) just sounds like a jet when it is coming down towards the camera...
Where was everybody? we were 6 Drivers in there with our 1 Pace Car. The race wasn't bad, good duels, but overall, the small number of participants killed it. I don't see how everyone choked .
Order finish:

5- D. Dunn (TSI_SVT)
6- J. Kay (TeamPlayersBlue)
DSQ- J. Shmoe (Lebaron)
Anyways, this is the last day to sign-up to get your spot at the LIL Invitational! You surely don't want to miss great and close action.
Concerning the race itself, please do not forget that the race itself will start at 10:00am EDT (14:00 UTC). You must report on the TeamSpeak server created for this event 20 minutes beforehand (,thus 13:40 UTC). All drivers must be on TeamSpeak before the race as the necessary guidelines concerning the race will be given through TS. The game server password will also be given out to he drivers during the TS session. (no mic necessary, as long as you can hear).
For this Saturday's LIL Invitational, the conference and race audio transmitter (the voice chat) has been confirmed. TeamSpeak will be the program that will be used for this time.
The appropriate connection information will be given to you by the end of the week.
Legal blocking is the key. Well... Legal as a whole.
One last reminder to wrap Mr. Pillow's post. This thread application is for the LIL Invitational, and does not bind you into the full LFS Indy League. Further information and application protocols will be set when the time has come for these issues.
I might as well post in this topic as it concerns this.
I,m trying to arrange something. I've converted my files with that VirtualDub to that XviD thing and all correctly. The new file plays correctly when opened, and sometimes plays correctly in the "source monitor" in Adobe Premiere Pro... But the vieo simply won't work when vied in the sequence. Either it's black or all like "no trasmission colorful snow" stuff. The sound works though.
A mic is not necessary (but suggested). As long as you can hear us, it is great. However to be a marshall/pace car, you must have a microphone in order to be able to direct the race.
(There are cheap mics now at any electronic (and non-electronic) stores. And its always fun to have.)
The applications will be allowed and accepted shortly after the Invitational. We are finishing up the final touches regarding the LFS Indy League base, then everything shall be up and running.
The only "qualifications" or requirements is to be a quite good driver and most specifically, a clean one. This is required because of the very close racing the league will have. Also a good connection never hurts when it comes to reducing lag.
