Its easy
Just go to shift+U you will see what buttons for checkpoints and finish then go with view above the track and place the finish at the ground just bellow your track.
Just like you guys said. I can have some racing only on 1 server. I need to say that racing skill of guys here is pretty good for now I think.
But no chance to drive the car I like...
Devs will make one big update after 4 years and they will get many people with some $. But thats probably less than they would get if they were periodically releasing some new physics, track and cars.
If they are so demotivated why they dont get some people to their team.
LFS is so good simulator to just die this way. And for sure if they will go this way it will die soon because there are other rising simulators and standards are going up!
Most probably not and if there was something it would not affect the car dramatically (especially for road cars). And even I doubt that lfs is coded in the way it would be physically correct in the deep of these aspects.
Guys I think this is a case of collision physics in LFS. Its maybe the same problem like sometimes your tire sticks to the curb and you get over. Maybe this is happening because of the physics frequency or just not so good algorithm.
I think that algorithm isnt so well. There is always a delay so when the physics step came on the cars actually collided by a very small part of mesh so it got somehow connected. In other case if you are lagging more you get to the car in front by large part which puts you with some "equivalent" force back so you get unconnected. I think this bug is somehow specific.
Anyway I think this isnt the case its just connected to the whole collision problems.
I was driving mouse for 2 years mainly in fbm. IMO I got used to mouse very well and it was very hard to spun with mouse.
Then I bought wheel and it took me few months to really get into it. Now I still feel like I could go faster with mouse with few cars on some tracks but in overall I am driving more carefully and enjoying it more. Mouse was great, alot better than KB/Kn but wheel is wheel.
I think in some low powered classes mouse can be an advantage. But in GTRS some ss's you cant beat wheel drivers. Maybe with pedals but I am not sure as I cant imagine the position while playing that way.
And there is one big factor that the speed of light is determining also the ping to the server...
You can have a good connection but if the server is in Japan or in Australia for europe means that we will have 200-300 ping there.
e2mustang should we all live in one place?
Only way it could be improved is some better multiplier algorithm but not sure if its even possible... Most probably it could be only better but if Scawen do whatever he will never get it to works like IRL unfortunately.
That solves nothing.
PC is good enough for modern games so it should have no problems with lfs but as someone said it isnt really optimized for these PCs potential.
Not everyone can have a stable connection. And if there wont be on every place optic fiber connection there always be many people without stable connection.
It would be nice but there are these technical problems:
1. Even my PC which is getting like 350FPS single drive cant handle so well t1 when there are 20 cars +
2. Connection issues for sure
3. The mass of people who want to win at t1 will just cause a nice crash.
I would like to see that personally but at first, point 1 and 2 needs to be right.
I was also involved there. It was obviously impossible with already 2 cars wide. I got the worst out of that. It isnt the right behavior on a 29 lap race.
New tires have some more grip but if you take a little slide you will gain much more heat and also you will skid much more. The overall car control is on the other level than just new tires. You can even see the brake point difference.
For some reason cars are a little bit faster with old tires but this has nothing to do with this thread as he was measuring car speed at specific RPM.
Today I was driving XRG and after 15 laps I should have changed brake point by 2 meters than new tire at good temperatures. As you said that grooves went off and the difference was really big and hard to learn new points. But also it was harder to reach the needed rear slip without skidding away too much with an xrg.
I am pretty sure that worn tires from my best experience in FBM gives you better traction properties. I saw many guys running their pbs and overall much more better lap times at these conditions...
I dont think so that small changes in grip affects top speed of a car. There is still nearly 0 slip in wide range of tire traction in straight line driving...
Not sure if others have the same view but most probably he had right to choose line as you didnt got your front on drivers level. He didnt do anything sudden he was just driving the same line. I think you had a lot of time to get behind him.
My first HC race and I was enjoying it. Really nice driving and a lot of fun but I hadnt got luck. I lost 1 lap at start just because PC crashed and wheel didnt calibrated and after that I found out that I am using 2 times more DF than others so I couldnt pass anyone and also I got bump drafted which my engine didnt liked LOL. But as I said very good experience and a lot of fun.
Thank you for that.
I am looking forward to next one.
