On most race car the upper triangle is smaller than the lower like in your second drawing. The anchor point are usually V shaped like a hull in a boat. The main effect is to add more negative camber on compression. The opposite might exist but I don't know any example.
Sometimes you can have two similar wishbones like in your first drawing. No camber change on compression.
IRL the 3d effect with the steering linkage change wheel steering angle depending on compression usually it is unwanted effect. I don't think LFS properly get that.
No you are not stupid! You are doing a lot with not much!
I would like to have some kind of tag. Like something "to test" or hide that could be done on website and in game.
For exemple I follow the mod publication thread I see something I like I tag it to test and then I can do a test session in game. Usually I don't remember what I wanted to test. A user hidden tag would be great too. I would remove by defect all the mods built for an event.
Well I have driven worn put clutches and no matter how gentle you are it slips like crazy. This car is very sensible to clutch overheating that explain you are suffering!
Well I have been reading and hope to be on the right place.
It is linked to mods and main cars and website:
We would like to create car thumbnail with specific skins. Either own skin or team skin.
There is the skin viewer here: https://www.lfs.net/cars
But it gives a 3D and not a thumbnail.
Yep fuel calculations are crucial and hard to do well being single pilot.
Detect and monitor does help, by showing remaining laps, fuel, fuel by laps but having it directly available would be great.
What might be nice to have: laps remaining with last lap consumption. Laps remaining with average consumption.
Energy used Last lap, average, min/max.
The eau rouge is kind of scary I almost feel the butterflies inside my stomach!
I am curious: can you reverse without being dizzy? That's the only thing that twist my mind it get me weird in no time. Other than that I hope.yoi get used to it, such a blast.
That was a positive move for everything and everybody involved.
Fast guys are super fast.
It was nice to see you battle and feel the heat.
Direct improvements to the game are always welcome.
This competition is extremely complex and well organized.
The streaming is mega pro also.
I (yes I am on foreground) don't remember if I was following a late braker or if I missed my braking point (hard time with this shitty English weather). No damage though but it was like starting last, I ruined my qualification! I did around 4 or 5 big mistakes, would have been an impressive result without them!
Well engine damage and gearbox speed are no longer needed. To me I would sacrifice tire thickness (we will guess it in F9 like in the past) to have a full insim version working with test patches or whatever version.
Or best of both world go insim and if version of LFS is supported show tire thickness, but do not crash if wrong version! Might be a bit too much "Usine a gaz"...
So currently to change my refuel settings I do:
F12 active (either F12 or cycle to F12)
Arrows down to fuel,
Side arrows to adjust (and then surprise duration at the time needed to refuel)
By +/- I mean having two commands like
/pitreq Fuel+
/pitreq Fuel-
Same could be applied to tire change condition
I think that touching /pitreq whatever should popup F12 menu if not already there. Or maybe just a text (like the one for force feedback adjustment?)
Perfect. I would have it cycle repair yes or no
/pitreq cancel would it cancel repair fuel or everything?
Yes I was talking about F11 menu but I think I have only used it once in my life for a brake balance adjustment. So for me no big deal at all. F12 well I use it at every race with pitstop.
That is something we have been needing for a long time (and that's extremely good to have you engage in some races as then you clearly see the need).
On my main computer I use the script from the wiki but it forces some work that could be fine tuned into LFS directly. Right now I am away from home I play on a shitty laptop and I did not programed it. It is a must have when playing VR too.
Wiki: https://en.lfsmanual.net/wiki/Script_Guide#.22F9_.3E_F10_.3E_F11_.3E_F12_.3E_Off.22_Toggle
As for F12 I still have hard time using it in race especially in VR I have to have Fx working and arrows correctly set (once I had double detent and I was screwed). For energy (fuel...) Having a +- button that opens F12 and shows amount to fuel would be great. Having direct access to repair button yes/no would be great too. I could have all that on the flick of the an encoder switch.
Cars with brake repartition might work the same way too.
During the heat of the race I really prefer as much direct control as possible and not too much menu navigation.
Also on fuel menu, show the time for refuel, in electric race it is crucially important.
Thanks for the work and sorry if my answer is partially a feature proposal.
Nice to have (would please not that much people I guess) having easy possibilities for button redundancy (like two different buttons for horn, possible through script) or axis redundancy (more complex) because maybe I want to switch easily between old school brake and load cell brake, or my gas pedals has double sensor beacause it is a bmw pedal...
