So currently to change my refuel settings I do:
F12 active (either F12 or cycle to F12)
Arrows down to fuel,
Side arrows to adjust (and then surprise duration at the time needed to refuel)
By +/- I mean having two commands like
/pitreq Fuel+
/pitreq Fuel-
Same could be applied to tire change condition
I think that touching /pitreq whatever should popup F12 menu if not already there. Or maybe just a text (like the one for force feedback adjustment?)
Perfect. I would have it cycle repair yes or no
/pitreq cancel would it cancel repair fuel or everything?
Yes I was talking about F11 menu but I think I have only used it once in my life for a brake balance adjustment. So for me no big deal at all. F12 well I use it at every race with pitstop.
That is something we have been needing for a long time (and that's extremely good to have you engage in some races as then you clearly see the need).
On my main computer I use the script from the wiki but it forces some work that could be fine tuned into LFS directly. Right now I am away from home I play on a shitty laptop and I did not programed it. It is a must have when playing VR too.
Wiki: https://en.lfsmanual.net/wiki/Script_Guide#.22F9_.3E_F10_.3E_F11_.3E_F12_.3E_Off.22_Toggle
As for F12 I still have hard time using it in race especially in VR I have to have Fx working and arrows correctly set (once I had double detent and I was screwed). For energy (fuel...) Having a +- button that opens F12 and shows amount to fuel would be great. Having direct access to repair button yes/no would be great too. I could have all that on the flick of the an encoder switch.
Cars with brake repartition might work the same way too.
During the heat of the race I really prefer as much direct control as possible and not too much menu navigation.
Also on fuel menu, show the time for refuel, in electric race it is crucially important.
Thanks for the work and sorry if my answer is partially a feature proposal.
Nice to have (would please not that much people I guess) having easy possibilities for button redundancy (like two different buttons for horn, possible through script) or axis redundancy (more complex) because maybe I want to switch easily between old school brake and load cell brake, or my gas pedals has double sensor beacause it is a bmw pedal...
What about changing a bit the organization of replays.
Put each replay in a separate folder with necessary mods copied there. This way when you have a replay you have the associated mod. Want space ? By deleting the replay you delete the associated mod data. Replays are still the same. No change it is just that LFS will look for mods on its own folder. Some hard links might work but I see that more complex.
Then in the normal folder you can do an obsolete version clean up but also you can delete all and suffer only one minor setback: you will have to download them again.
As for old replays I guess some kind of macro could rebuild them to new standard.
The goal would be to have an online webpage for the grid with the team skin applied if available. Doing it manually is a no no. Too much effort for something nice to have but not mandatory either.
It would be pretty neat here at cesav: https://www.cesav.es/index.php?pid=12
We would like to create car thumbnail with specific skins. Either own skin or team skin.
There is the skin viewer here: https://www.lfs.net/cars
But it gives a 3D and not a thumbnail.
Well having layout to work would be A MA ZING (lazy was impressive with that)...
But having potential best refreshed at every sector on official tracks would be a great addition and less coding headache. I mean you do your best ever Sector1 and crash or quit in sector3, currently it will not show.
The car was so much appreciated last year that it deserved another race!
So everybody is welcome next Monday at ww.cesav.es Inscription before 21.30 CET race at 22.15
Well because they love their job and don't want to become some kind of manager BS, be responsible of other life, be tough or whatever, suffer from their employee (I want more money, I want to do less, absenteism, trials, lack of motivation, lack of talent, harmonisation hard to maintain...).
Most people I know with small companies are tired of their employee, and wish to have something smaller.
It has been discussed a lot and well I understand their way!
I guess it would be too much work but maybe some two colours (like fill and outline) arrows like previous plus team on the outline or vice versa.
Thanks for trying improving all the time!
Well most seasons/ligues have better attendance in the beginning than in the end. At cesav.es we are currently doing good for the pre season. Tomorrow 30 registered so far. If more people show up there will be two divisions.
Depending of what I plug in I have hundreds of buttons and more than 10 axis...
Current numbering is not very efficient. I tend to play with only 3 controllers in the same all the time to avoid issues, but I still have issue lets say if I plug in my gearbox, all the button and axes changes number and it complicates everything.
Instead of numbering like 1 to 65k it could be much better to number the controllers and then their input.
Like Pedals=1 Wheel=2 Button=3 Xbox=4 Xbox=5 and then have like 2b1 to 2b128 for the buttons on the wheel 2a1 for the axis...
This improvment is a nice to be, obviously no emergency and I can live without but it would be neat.
