I have just setup a Valve Index and drove 3 laps.
That is insane! I am impressed.
Anyway I am feeling lfs is capping it at 90fps. The index is 120Hz capable. What to do to set it at 100Hz? Currently I think it is sad as it was my buying trigger.
The menu are usually workable but sometimes tricky. May be a support for the valve/vive controller would be a plus to select by moving hand and not the head. I need more time to evaluate to be honest.
As a side note latest Nvidia driver plus msi laptop are currently crashing after 10 to 20s... I had to revert an older driver. Problem with sound are expected with these driver. It is a shame. This is not lfs related.
Hi there,
How can I map F8 (and space) to a button?
It might even be interesting to map a button to switch from 2D to 3D and vice versa.
I am noob at vr with 3 laps... So it might be stupid question.
OK quick test here, stable as usual.
FFB feels much better crispier and more detailed at low force and high force setting. I usually run at 20 or 25% in LFS to avoid breacking my wrists...
My wheel is custom with simucube not yet patched to the latest software by granite it stills run MMOS and shows, hardware is MIge 10015 with encoder 2500/rotation (I have gear to change to 5000):
MMos ForceFeedback2014 I went to 100Hz 10000 directly.
So far so very good.
Edit: Are some kerbs very different in Blackwood? Some inner kerbs are feeling ultra smooth maybe too much like the inner on the last right corner of BL1. On other I really feel all the little steps!
I try to setup my screen with fps info and no lfs logo. I am currently double failing at this. Not sure what to tick or untick. Every move without successes so far...
It is about 3 years withoit a working so maybe some stuff has moved...
With inside view I see a screen like a 2 screen configuration, left screen. I see half of my car and my viewing axis is 22.5° twisted. Outside view is centered. I don't like to use outside view... I have only a HD1080 monitor, no hdmi plugged.
Other than that I can get to calibrate properly my old fanatec pedals without manually setting them. I remember some auto settings working well in the past...
Off-topic. Hey Magic you may want to correct a typo on your website. Engineer not enginior or maybe if you to make some joke like in "la folie des grandeurs"- "il est l'or monseignor"
Side question what hardware do you run and how many fps in lfs? The 8k looks crazy on the paper (except for the lower refresh rate) and the 5k not bad either.
Well at some point rebuilding the cars should effect the inertial matrix of the cars. It might not be a big deal but still means incompatible version and hotlaps. Nothing is at easy as it seems! Keep up guys!
