Just tweaked enough to be classified as different is what the team has been doing so far. Their lawyers have told them 3 changes is all it takes. Obviously it's not rock solid, but I'm sure they could come up with something. A GT class with no Porkies is just... weird.
Meh. RUF is just what you get when you can't get Porsche. I'm 95% sure I'll never drive any of them in pCARS, just like all the RUFs in all the other games...
A RUF is just a Porsche with hooker boots. I'd rather have the real deal.
Can't stand using a keyboard for driving, and I'd prefer to not use a gamepad, either. I'm ok with some physics that aren't totally realistic, but if it just doesn't work well with a wheel then it sees no time from me. I was really hoping for an RBR replacement, but it looks like that's not happening
I've read the release has been a bit of a mess and the digital download has been taken down (no word on how long it'll take to fix and re-up it) and they're offering full refunds.
I also hear it's not that great (which I expected). I'll still give it a shot when I get a chance, but I'm not expecting much.
Some of them, maybe, but Ian seems to relish in it.
All the political BS aside... I'm itching to skin that Z4 and I really am still hoping that this turns out to be a top notch product. It's gorgeous to look at, and I want to love it so much. Time will tell...
It's just fine. Not much point in having a car any quicker than it, really. It's perfectly quick enough to be fun on the back roads in the hands of an average driver. That's all you need. (Of course, I'd still not buy it. I'll take the BRZ, thanks.)
Wait, that's a thing? How the hell does that work?
Coulda told you that after seeing the trailer.
I really, really looked forward to this one. I really like intelligent dystopian sci-fi, that's my favorite kind of story. I did feel, though, that it didn't quite live up to the potential. I still enjoyed it, quite a bit, but something just keeps telling me it could have been better. In the end, it was a pretty run-of-the-mill time travel story at its core, with some nice dressing. I do like the foggy memory element, though, that was pretty interesting and I don't think I've encountered that in any other time travel stories (not that I've read/watched a lot of them).
I really like where Gordon-Lovitt's career has been heading this last couple years. He's developed into a very solid actor with a good eye for movies; Inception was bloody fantastic and Looper was pretty good. 500 Days of Summer and 50/50 were both also very good performances for him. There's something about him as an actor, he's just got that subtlety that most don't. It really works, very well.
[EDIT] Oh yes. I also saw Expendables 2. It made me laugh. It did exactly what it says it will on the tin. No more, no less. Exactly what it's supposed to be.
My girlfriend's sister has a Mustang. Not macho. At all. And an RX-8 is just about as far from manly as you can get before hitting Scion territory (which, admittedly, is more douche than girly, but still).
I'm currently not impressed at all, either. I've never had half-ways decent FFB with it and awkward control issues (too much turn in early on in the steering range). That being said, I haven't touched it in months, so I'm due for another test drive.
Also... that Z4 GT3 looks delicious. I want to skin it, so bad.
Yes, but the new stages will wreak havoc with the AI times in career mode, which as I've been led to believe, won't be updated to reflect the different stages.
In any case, RSRBR or not, I've never gotten a downloaded stage to run in RBR anyways; I always get a CTD within the first 20 seconds. I'm fine just using the existing stages and manually installing the car(s) that I choose, I just wish there were more stages by default for the championship
I haven't got RSRBR installed because I like doing the full championships. I replace the cars manually, though, and then just run the original stages in championship mode. I really wish RBR shipped with twice the stages that it has...
FWIW I haven't had any issues on Win7 on my machine... Though I haven't played it much at all on the 'new' computer. (New being a relative term, it's over a year old now...)
We also know he's poor as hell. His Nicotine patch royalties are running low, he's in desperate need of funds. And that piece of shit that was the Abruzzi didn't help matters.
Word is he's possibly selling Road Atlanta for real estate development.
