BTW, who have a voodoo pupet of me ??? because... during the race, 2 of my 4 spring in my pedals breaked,i was blocking tire every turn, because i have to get used to the new feeling, then my accel pedal went crazy, and i couldnt get full power for 4 laps, just after overtaking Torben

i quit after half a lap... front left tire over heated to 150° for no reaseon... checked my setup after quitting, all diffs were setted to BLOCKED... dunno why and how...
hopefully French soccer team won against Eire... evening was not totaly a disaster ....
u didnt configure it right, using logitech ff driver, force must be set to -100% ( MINUS HUNDRED PURCENT ).
Appart from that, i bought the game, and love it .. I play with DFP set to 500°, physics feel right, FFB feel right, graphics are a bit too 'cartoonish', sounds is great , i dt care it is "old" sample system, IT sounds great.Career mode is very good, the upgrade part is very interestings, sort of Gran Tourismo like mode
I still love LFS, but rFactor will come with Addon track ( real ones) , new cars ( real ones ), and that LFS will never have..

I didnt tried the game enough to give physics feedback.. but anyway...
Is it fair to campare a final product ( rFactor ), to S2 ALFA version... i dt think so ... everybody know that S2 still needs lot of works into physics especialy aero and tires... so should be normal that rFactor feels better atm..
I still think LFS WILL be the best sims.
But.. rFactor will have lot of mods = REAL TRACKS and REAL CARS... so we will compare to real things...
Chooosing between LFS and rFactor? no... i'm poly-game lover
I tried rFactor last Saturday, it was really good actualy.
Graphics are really nice.
Sounds is way better than LFS.
Force Feedback is good.
Physics was good, tire physics even "seems" better than LFS. ( I KNOW LFS IS NOT FINISED )
The main problem , rFactor give you a feel of less freedom in the game than LFS.
Also, i had some GFX crash , GFX freeze i never had in LFS.
I couldnt really test the netcode, we where only 6 on the server i found, with 6 peoples, there were no lag at all. With 20 peeps, i dt know.
Again, the sound was really impressive when playing online Engine sound, brake disc squeal, transmission scream, rolling sound, gravel on chassis when driving on grass,etc... really immersive.
The fact that there is no Shilf-L or F9 function doesnt mean that the physics is weak... Actualy it is more real to not have it, where in earth can u see realtime suspensions and tire heating ? hmmm... you can have it on telemetry in pits, that's all.
When rFactor will be release, there will be a new demo. Be sure that i'll test it. And if it is better than LFS, well, that will be 2 good sim to play , instead of 1, that's all bonus for us
more power to rear, yes, but if i must drive RWD i'd choose the lighter one

It's hard to choose between speed and consistency, especialy the FXR is already slower
i'm not whining, i knew the FXR was slow, i choosed it, so we can really see how it is going in endurance race, and so Scawen can change things so the car will be more even for final S2 realease
40min with R2s ????? What pressure and camber to keep R2s 40minutes?
It is not possible with FXR because of FRONT tires.
on RWD front tires are used for turning and braking.
on AWD front tires are used for turning , braking AND accelerating... and that's is more heat for the tire
Dunno about other car, but , with my FXR this is how i do..
1st possibility
I download the setup for WR .. usualy from Flotch
The setup can handle only 2-3 laps with (Front-Rear ) R2-R2
They heat up to 95° after more than 5laps and stay there for a while
Rear stay around 85°
So, i put R3 on front ... and TADA !!! u got a nice Race setup
Usualy i can race 40 to 45 minutes with R3-R2.
2nd possibility
With same WR setup,i reduce camber a bit, i increase the tire pressure ( more pressure = more tire cooling ). I increase until the tire dt exceed 90° ... BUT, if the pressure exceed 2.1 bars.. thats too much pressure, wichi means , i MUST use R3 for front... because...more pressure = less grip.
With R2-R2 i could race 25minutes..
dunno if u can do the same with FZR/XRR .. anyway..

Times beetween 1.09.5 to 1.10.5 according to tire temp ( my FL was 95° at begining of stint = slowest time ). If you dont count the lap i make mistakes because i was trying to keep with XRR/FZR pace
and i couldnt do 30mins ... my FL tire could only last for 25minutes
I was good in begining of race , i was 4Th, wich is like with the FXR
I had some touch with Joona, and i went out of track. Joona, it is not your fault, this is a 50-50 issue, i should paid more attention, this is race incident, np with you mate
Then i tried to keep on my strategy, 30min stints with R2.. but i have to push hard to keep the FZR and XRR pace, and my Front R2 could only live for 25minutes.. , so for the last stint i change my strategy, i went for R3-R2 ans 45minutes stints... it worked quite well, except my FL tire blew because it was too weared... hopefully i didnt loose a rank because of that... more about the two times i went out of track alone illepall
no wind is for arcade or noob racing.. sorry beeing rude.. but we aim for realisme there , right ?
I mean.. there is ALWAYS wind... even very low wind ( like in low wind settings in LFS )..
The best way should be to use random between , the 3 possible settings
Ohter problem, Clutch/Gearbox physisc is wrong, it is not simulating the synchro gear of the gearbox.. so you always have to completly press down the clutch pedal to gear, in reality,if the RPM are at the right speed, you shouldn't need to press the clutch at all, or just a little.
atm, imo, it's a pain using a clutch pedal... i'm only use it for special stuff :
- start
- sort of ASR ( anti slip system ) ( instead of releasing the accel, u can push the clutch a bit )
