Quote :Thanks for the tips Mazar, i'll have a fiddle.

No problem.

Quote :It has to be something to do with the FFB if it's not the physics Niels. I don't think I'm overdriving...i just never feel when i'm on/going over the limit, which LFS/iRacing and especially nKPro tell me perfectly, with no mucking about with settings.

It is all in the controller settings in this SIM that feel you need for on the limit driving is all in the controller settings, whether default, RealFeel or LEO FFB is being used..

We switched from LFS to rF to race in the FSR F1 World Championship, I can tell you, it takes as much work in the controller settings to optimize them as it does in set up's.

However, once you get RealFeel working perfectly for you, the feel is really, very, very good. I do not use it myself, preffering LEO FFB which works very well with real suspension models such as the CTDP06 F1 mod we use.

Quote :This is the one thing thats pissed me off over and over again with anything rFactor, you spend more time fiddling with stuff, trying to get it to feel right.

Yes, but not so much a rF problem as problems with the MOD's and suspension designs there in. Unfortunately the quality differs greatly.

Stick it out, tune it to your liking with a understanding of what does what and it feels amazing!

The thrustmaster just suffers from build quality issues all round.

In comparision to logitec in this area, it does not compare well at all. The FFB and other elements are fine, but its let down terribly by the terrible build quality..

I would go with the logitech and wont buy another Thrustmaster again.

Quote :even with realfeel, still doesn't do it justice. I still get the grip, grip, grip > unrecoverable spin that you never felt coming, that i always get with ISI sims.

There are some settings to tweak to allow you to have exactly the force drop off and balance to enable you to have exactly the feeling you wish for when at the limit of the grip. Although a little more complex than LFS's fit and forget, it is infinitely tunable to give exactly the FFB you wish. Once set perfectly, its pretty amazing to be honest. You can feel everything, where as in LFS, you get very little actual feedback, more weight that anything..

Most important of these is -
steer force grip weight - by default this is usually set to 0.4 and should be more 0.9 or .089 something like this, this sets how much of the tyre you feel through the wheel..

There is another setting, which determines how much feel you get from the front tyres versus rear set this to be nearly all to the front.

These two things will give you much better feel from the controller.

Quote :big big question to maz! Any details about plans on this one yet?

Truth of the matter is Thilo, I have held off with friends getting this aspect of the series detailed for the simple reason that I am unsure at this present time that LFS is ready for a 'PRO' level series. By that, I mean a series run for more than the love of the Sport, a series that attract's and retain sponsors as part of a marketing programme needs to deliver.

At this moment we have only 4 of the teams that have sent in the required media details for a outside pro commentator to make a quality commentary, or/and sent in their team skins, banners and media details.

To be quite honest, i have no interest in babysitting and only in growing a leading league. So for me i guess its a bit of a non issue at this moment in time.

The grid is full for the season with later entries from REDLINE RACING, SK GAMING RACING and XCITE being recieved, all slots on the grid are full and competition is going to be fierce at Aston Round 1.

To allocate as a driver for ROUND 1 you must enter through the oneGP entries system here. Entries are being accepted for Rounds 1 and 2 at this present time.

Warning, only allocated drivers will receive final instructions and password to the oneGP race server. If you do not enter through the entries system, you will NOT receive the passwords and instructions, registered team managers may also enter.

Just your own High Res skin team Skins.

Best, Maz
Mazar
S3 licensed
Only two teams have so far completed this requirement to send skins in High res format for the onegp.org website section on teams'.

A friendly reminder, its due to sponsors that this series carries a prize fund. oneGP has commitments to its sponsors and it is important that this section of the website is completed in time.

It is non negotiable, no team skins and data supplied will mean your team will not be allowed to start.
