I went in to work with my dad for a few days once during a school holiday and him and his work mates would play LFS during their lunch hour. I played it the whole time I was there and by Friday, I was winning everything. After that I set up LFS on the home computer and the rest is history.
Jump to 16 years later and some of my best friends are people I met in this community. We've run a kart team together in the UK since 2016.
A lot of people will be in the same boat as you. I would advocate for an archive of all hotlaps and PBs, even if it's just for statistics nerds and/or nostalgia. There's a lot of data there which has a lot of history. We already lost historical data of a few older versions of tracks over the years so I'm not sure if the Devs would consider this.
This is common practice. Those message chains sometimes turn into a discussion, the downside of which is that everyone gets a notification about replies, which some people probably find annoying. We should be promoting discussions, so this is one argument to support the close-coupling of the leagues sub-forums and the leagues page.
All good suggestions. This isn't strictly a suggestion for administrators but it's something that could help participation and awareness of leagues and events:
Having more integration between the leagues section and the corresponding forum subsections would be a bonus so that discussions are closely coupled to that system. In addition to the options we have available (the list and calendar), perhaps something could be done to mimic what the LFS Twitter handle has been putting out occasionally: A summary of the day/week's events (example) on other pages of the LFS website. This could be shown in a small panel to the side of the LFS homepage or somewhere on the forum. On that subject, I do feel like the forum index page could be narrower and other information could be shown on the side somewhere. Or the forum could be made full-width with room for this other information.

DRIVER INTERVIEWS
If you are competing, you are welcome to join our Teamspeak server to participate in mid or post-race interviews.
Once connected, please join the waiting room channel where voice is disabled. This ensures that you are not disturbed by others during your race. You may wish to disable other Teamspeak notifications by deactivating the default Teamspeak soundpack (Settings > Options > Notifications > Sound Pack > Sounds Deactivated) or by setting up a hotkey to mute/unmute your Teamspeak audio.
Please note: Being in the waiting room channel means that you are prepared to be interviewed at any time. You will only be moved into the commentary booth if your speakers and microphone are unmuted.
Once you have Teamspeak installed, you can connect to our server at: ts.simbroadcasts.tv
DISCLAIMERS
Use of our Teamspeak server comes with a couple of disclaimers. Please make sure you are aware of them.
Members of the Sim Broadcasts team should not be disturbed at any time on our Teamspeak server so please refrain from messaging or poking them. Doing so will result in your immediate removal from the server.
We will try to interview as many drivers as possible post-race and will prioritise those with the best results in each session. We will only interview drivers mid-race if it fits with the race narrative.
Please try to act professionally during your interview and avoid any profanities. We reserve the right to deny you future interviews if you violate these terms.

Thanks to NDR for partnering with SBTV for this season, thanks everyone for watching and particular thanks to the drivers who participated in the series and in the post-race interviews. See you next time!
Ok, cool. It will make it easier for us to update too if you get it on the Play Store ASAP. The process for registering an account and getting apps approved is a lot easier these days.
