Its a car and if any car makes you sick from the outside then you need to sort your priorities out I guess.

I love squareness on cars, hence why i love a lot of older cars rather than the new curvy shapes of the 21st Century, take the old Audi Quattro for example - The mental group B S1 looks insane, but I don't really take a fancy to the latest audi line of cars.

I also am glad about the guidelines towards aero peices on the main body - the BMW looks really clean on the side view and like a proper race car not just a car with wierd shaped bits coming from all directions.

I can't wait to see what the other manufacturers come up with!

The bond film... I sat through 30 minutes of ads growingly needing the toilet, went and missed half of the first car chase.

We also got to the cinema 10 minutes after one started and we were going to go in but thought we'd miss the start. So instead we were bored an hour before the next one.

Possibly the most hilarious game i've ever played. Tried all sorts of key combination's and different timing. I did it a cheaty way in which he just bounced along on his knees for 50 metres but then i got stuck at the hurdle.

I personally love it. Think it looks great and I love the sound of the new regulations for 2009. Should be an exciting season!

Rfactor was made for modding so judging it on its original content is a bit silly really. If you ever buy the game (i strongly suggest doing so) get the R1RFT mod and the Historic GT & Touring car mod. The physics on both of these are as good as LFS and the massive selection of tracks you can drive them on means that Rfactor well deserves its spot in the most influential sims.

Another quick though - influential racing sims is the title. Not best racing sims, Rfactor has influenced the modding community so greatly I guess it would be silly not to include it, I guess.

Imo that should be changed with NR2003 .
I canot think of a other game at it's time that had that good physics.
If there are anything that is on the same hight as LFS, or better, it would be NR2003 in my opinion.

And about Iracing, I think it's more aimed for the fanatics, not the big mass.

Can I just ask - have you actually tried Rfactor properly with good mods and decent people racing online?

I did a league race in the old Le Mans 911's on the Le mans track, the event lasted about 50 minutes and did a whole cycle of a day + night. Far better than any league race I've had in LFS so far!

Sam are you sure you don't have it mixed up? I've not read up on twincharging but the Turbo lag is the reason you would twincharge - so the supercharger gives you power at the low rev ranges and then the high boost turbo once its spooled up.

Try a check disk test (not sure how to start it - just seemed to do it automatically for me). I had a registry problem the other day and that fixed it.
