In the mean time you can use a voice control programme such as Pilfius. I'm not sure if you can access the commands in LFS to any great depth. But with a speech to text programme you can have a very simple set of commands such as, pulling up F12 by simply saying "F12", or "Pits", or anything you want really. And change the settings by saying "left" or "right, "up" or "down" etc. It's basically the same as pressing the keys on the keyboard without having to erm, press the keys on the keyboard

It would be even better if we could tap into whichever bit of LFS controls this stuff and programme it so you can say something specific like "change tyres, no fuel, no repair" or "no tyres, fuel 20%, fix damage" and it automatically does it all for you without having to scroll through all the commands.

Planned stop [1] - 40% fuel, tires > 60%
Crash [2] - 0% fuel, repair damage:yes, tires >90%
Spinout [3] - 0% fuel, tires > 50%.

I dont get this whole 'private skin' thing. We're a small community, theres no need to keep things private with eachother. To each their own, i suppose. Anywho, delete from lfsworld and he probably wont re-upload and will forget all about it. As long as he isnt taking credit for it, i dont see the point.

LFS locked my PC up 3 times yesterday. Could have been my graphics card - it was uber hot when i pulled plug to manually restart (button is dead and i dont like putting metallic things inside case when its dark to manually jump it on mobo)

Headsets with USB are of higher quality sound than ones with a typical sound jack because there is less background noise and 'scratchiness' from the wire itself.

Anyways, I have a USB headset also, and when i plugged mine in I got the same thing as you - low quality sound and scratchy mic. It seems i plugged it into a low quality/power/null USB port on my sd card reader. I switched to a motherboard USB port and all was well.

er, sorry guys but it somehow fixed itself. Everything seems to fix itself =/

Maybe it was overheated GPU but not sure, after i restarted it it only did it for a bit then it was gone

When you choose no wheel/driver on xfg (and probably other cars) the part steering column you see is disgusting :S. And now that the dash has turn signals on top of speedometer/tachometer, can you use those to indicate lights? Not that anyone will notice since ... when do you use signals in a race? but still, :P

Hi all. I haven't played lfs in over 3 days (:jawdrop and today i started up lfs as I normally did. First thing i did was go to multiplayer and go directly to ctra server 1 as usual. I started racing alone (=[) and all of a sudden black frames popped out of no where. At first I didnt mind and just acted like the driver was blinking, but it got really annoying and I cannot figure it out. I'm thinking maybe drivers, but I haven't changed anything in last 3/4 days.

Also, I cannot connect to master server for some reason.

I just downloaded a fresh install of LFS and the black frames still persist =/.

Please someone help!

You guys are talking about those Ageia cards, right?

Everyones complaining about how the game is being updated and lower spec computeres are suffering (except the new test patches) so why on earth would devs add something that only people with brand new video cards could use?

It enabled me to feel the grip of the tires in a way not before possible and dynamically adjust according to the feedback I recieve from the wheel. I think the profiler fights with the feedback from LFS that is interfaced with windows.

This might be worth a try for anyone interested.

If anyone is interested in what he is explaining about the FFB, but don't want to go through the hassle of un-installing the profiler, the following usually works for me. Unplug wheel, start LFS, plug wheel in and let it calibrate. Do not shift C! Works for me at least. usually overrides the profiler
