Cornys RB4 is pretty competitive for you league, but is almost the same problem as FXR in GTR. Faster driver prefer XRT because when you know how to go fast with it you are almost as fast but it is so much fun ! FXO is pretty competitive and quite easy to drive (/ban FWD) and RB4 is too but FXO is easier and because it is the quickest TBO without restriction, more decent setups are around so btw it is easier to race with FXO than RB4. Then stop saying XRT have a tyre advantage because it is not, as Niki already said, FXO has only troubles with front and it is almost because of your agressitivity with tyres (throttle, turning, setup,...) whereas XRT overheat all 4 tyres with make it worse because you have to find a good balance between front and rear with is in general worse for the performance than what you are doing in Q.
To come back in this topic, why only one class? Endurance races with TBO and STD are epic !
Plus last year a german team organised a 24hrs race with TBO and STD, it was pretty awesome !
Well I have seen some french and belgium teams (at least 3) that were interested in GT2 racing but that were feeling that GT2WS was a too high level serie for them so they waited for GTAL.
I like pretty much Yann's idea of making an amateur trophy in GT2WS almost something like Blancpain Endurance Series are doing btw (with teams and not driver ofc). But it looks like GT2WS have some strong grid and half of the GT2WS field can be GTAL top teams. If you add to them some new teams (and there are still some), teams that want to use GTAL as a development league like probably Vires, Genuine and probably CoRe, and then some teams that have never been involved in GTAL but that may be interested (there is still plenty of german team in LFS)...
EDIT : I like Phil's idea but the problem is that I can't do GTAL but I want to do some TBO racing !
btw electricity is more dangerous for the earth in some countries like India than Petrol...think about it
Indeed lot of country made electricity from Thermal power plants so.......hehe that's not as clean as nuclear (France forever the best).
Anyway, fyi neither PSA (Peugeot) neither Renault engineer believe in electricity as main power for cars. It would certainly stay a way to power for shopping trolley (basically your wife's car) but not for your car.

Everything that happened in Japan was due to Japanese honor system that created this situation where Japanese has no more water pomp to cool down their shit. I can't believe no one could have provide them another water pomp if they wanted, France did, USA did, but Japan didn't... (I know it from safe sources)
That was a good race There were lot of drivers that could have won it, but N I K I and sbb were ofc the two masters one more time.
I didn't make a good qualifying session, starting only p11 but I knew I could do much better. Start of the race was pretty risky, there were lot of contact in front of me that enables me to be something like p8 before the SC period that was shown while I was fighting with Isaac At the restart, I manage to stay in front of N I K I while Isaac divebombed Eiton, bad luck for him :s Finally I succed to overtake Karl and then #88. I was now p5 right behind my friend A3roX with whom I was on TS. He was fighting with Andro and Isaac that receive a SG penalty for the crash he had earlier, so we were now 3 to fight for p2, Julien manage to overtake Andro and few laps later I do. Then it was a cruise race with my friend, trying to maintain (and reduce ) the gap with Joe, and trying to resist to N I K I come back. On lap 49, Joe wait Julien and then slow him down certainly to enable N I K I to come back and overtake us to gain more point for championship, anyway, he failed at that because Julien manage to overtake him with a nice outside move ! En of the race was really close then because we were 3 in only 1s, several time Joe was side by side with Julien for the lead and we were side by side for p2, but finally classification didn't change.
That race was really fun, can't wait for next one !
btw the other problem of battery is that if everyone have an electric batteryfull car, everyone gonna load it at 18:00-19:00 in order it to be ready for tomorrow...In a country like France which has one of the best electrical network, french electricity provider should increase its production by 200% ! (fyi, France is the leader in nuclear energy and 80% of electricity made in France is made from uranium, so ofc ecologist are against any new nuclear factory which made the aim of increasing the product impossible).
So btw stop dreaming and let engineer improve petrol car because every cars proffessional would say future of automotive industry isn't electricity, but...PETROL ^^
in theory yes, in reality it is almost true. Anyway in some powerfull electrical cars, there are some gearbox because car velocity depend on engine rpm and to go from 0 to 300 kph creat a big electric current (possibility to go higher from 600A !) that destroy the controller. Moreover you have to modulate the power because of to much torque for the tyres ^^ So finally you don't have a constant torque with electric cars, your controller made it depend on acceleration, rpm and speed.
