Theoretically that's right, but in practice you don't find proper racers. Maybe in iRacing thanks to their points and penalty systems, but the game itself sucks.
It actually depends on the reason. If the problem is how people play, there is not much they can do...
I'm not against multiplayer, and I hope the game comes with a proper code and online system, but I lost hope in peoples attitude online long time ago, not only in racing sims but any kind of game.
Don't be so sure, I personally play alone 85% of the times, 10% against AI and 5% online. In generally I don't like people's attitude when gaming, is hard ro find a proper racer, so I rather play against the AI. I know we' re a minority though, but we can't be ignored.
Totally agree, just like most kit cars.
If you want to do it properly, get the package of the car in a 3D software. The first thing you should think is the concept, that will give you a direction and will make your car different from the others. Then start working proportions of the car, which is the key of every design and forget about details. At the same time, think about what kind of surface treatment you want for your car. Once you have this, 50% of the job is done, you can then start to think about details (headlights shape and stuff like that).
Is very important to not go with the first idea that you sketch, try as many different options as you can and always ask for people (who understand about automotive design if possible) about their opinion.
I don't know what resources you have to build this car, but don't think is an easy job. People usually think that designers job is just to sketch some cool images and the job is done, but it couldn't be more different than that.
One thing you should know: There are not beautiful or ugly cars, that's subjetive and no one cares if you like a car or not, but there are good and bad designs, which is not subjetive. I can like a car that I don't consider good looking as long as it's been designed properly. I might sound difficult to understand, but believe me, it is like that.
I am only interested in 3 or 4 cars in that list.... I know there will be a bunch of cars made by modders, however, how are they gonna control that the handling and overall quality is on pair with the default ones?
You guys still have hopes on this game as a sim? For people that are used to play NFS, Burnout, TDU and other random arcadish games, a sim is a game which is a bit more difficult, you have to brake in some corners, the car breaks down, crashing everywhere slows you down and instead of taking a hairpin at 200km/h you can do it at 180. That's what these people call a "sim", and this what it is. For a hardcore simracer this is still an arcadish game. It might be fun, but is not in the same league., so I wouldn't expect anything from the physics.
This is the way. That's what I've been doing for the beggining of the times, and that's why I don't give a shit about leagues, hotlapping and stuff. I do race and hotlap but I never compare myself with people who play with gamepads, aids on and unrealistic setups, I'm here for the pure satisfaction of driving.
All they need to do is include most of the Japanese cars that I enjoy in GT5 plus the green hell and I will order 3 monitors and a new PC just for this game :bananalla
I will definitely play this sim, looking forwards for it, but graphics are just ok for todays standards, nothing impressive. What amazes me instead is the fact that Italians are being able to make such a nice job, I'm not used to in my everydays life in Italy
Honda Integra Type R DC2
Honda NSX-R
Honda S2000
Mugen RR
Nissan GTR V-Spec
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI TM Edition
Mazda RX7 Spirit R
Suzuki Cappuccino
I don't need more. Fortunately my favorite cars are not overpriced exotics, most of the ones in the list are kinda affordable, is just a matter of time
I read in a magazine that the suspension setup is slightly different, the GT86 being more tail happy and drift friendly while the BRZ seems to be more serious and track focused
I just arrived from my first real karting race. We made a new team, we're just starting, and we did quite well in the 24h endurance race in Gran Canaria.
We are not professionals, but it might be the beginning
Buy one and download the other ones
I am myself a big fan of the Hitman series. Haven't played it yet, but a friend of mine says is the best game he's played in ages. Of course forget about it if you prefer frenetic action, this is more like a stealth game where you have to use a minimum % of your brain.
