I specially like the fact that its a lightweight 4wd, which LFS is really missing atm!
I hope it handles a bit like an RC car hehe
I downloaded all the videos from their website onto my server, maybe someone wants to check them out. (Just to avoid putting their server down by exceeding the traffic limit)
those custom textures really make a huge difference :O
[EDIT]
just looked through the textures database and there is really a lot of stuff.... I dont have the time to test all those texture.
Vale, cant you upload your whole dds folder to my ftp? PM me if you want
I think its 30 days, but if you rename the file like I explained, it doesnt show that popup anymore...
Im not sure if its really a bug in Adobe's software, maybe my version stops working after 30 days either... we'll see
[EDIT]
just tested, and it indeed stops working after 30 days
omg
Photoshop CS3 beta trial... http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/photoshopcs3/ (you must create a login with email there)
the installation routine will ask you to install various other programs, you can uncheck all (not needed)
After installation, go to the AMT folder and rename application.sif to application.sif_
(if you want to get rid of the annoying "register now" popup)
Note that PS CS3 will change most of your image file extensions, so all files will now open with Photoshop.
You can undo this by opening an explorer window, clicking extras->folder options->file types->select for example jpg->click change-> select the standard windows image viewer
I dont think any CPU / HDD can deal with the amazing amount of data when processing a video with 1280x1024 res... unless you have a Raid0 system and a quadcore CPU
Also, many people cant even play such a video, because their CPU is just too slow to decode a video which a resolution as high as 1280x1024. There are some HD movies I cant play with my notebook - stuttering all the time.
And I dont think you want to release a video that only 20% of all LFS racers can watch
well thats a lot of raytracing, a lot of shadow surface...
nuse, those strange artifacts there in the first link look like interference problem to me, have you tried increasing the amount of rays (dunno how to do that in vray )
I had some of the Vista betas, and I got stuttering everywhere, even when using notepad oO.
It just burns your hardware by stressing it ALL THE TIME, specailly the HDDs.
Feels like defragging while playing
However, I had the same problem on my notebook with XP, and it was caused by the driver. Installed the DNA drivers and got no problems
