Imo the wheels only is way more unrealistic than the chase cam

It's forbidden to steal other's skins. If you want to use your own skin, get a program that can create jpg images, and create your own skin.

FXO isnt really too fast because it has too wide wheels, it has just too many horses under the bonnet
Also, 50/50 isn't really optimal, unless you want to drift maybe.

Imo, one major disadvantage of the RB4 is also the limited suspension travel. Same makes the GTI very jumpy in the FE green chicane for example.

Well it's too late to send a new file now anyway, I have attached the first version from Scawen including the source, and uploaded it as a cab file. They don't accept external download links for the files.
So I doubt they will go here and download the newer version... Maybe they will write an email if it's fixed

Yes, Static-X is "guilty" here, but it's indeed a very agressive move, which requires good car control at both racers. So you should rather wait and try it next time...

However, I generally notice that there are many (new) racers who just drive the inner line even though there is some other car on the inside, specially in hairpins...
People should start watching a bit more...

The grip seems to be identical, the hybrids just slip a bit more when they have the most grip, and they heat up much quicker.

Well, it depends a lot on the skill and will of the racers on the server to have a clean race. Specially people who are in LFS since the beginning will do everything to avoid touching each other.
Clean racing is just WAY more fun in the end. Blocking is all lame, specially pushing other cars off the road is forbidden...

BUG:
You can pit in and out while racing, which allows you to retry if you have made a crash. Havent tested if its actually recorded though, just been pitting in and out a bit

Ok everything has worked now... you have to fill in the build field, in order to be allowed to check the checkbox that gets the details from the current computer, which overrides the build field then. lol
Additionally, it was required hat you have a ms passport "cookie" as xml data in your user folder somewhere.

Well I reported it now, but Im not sure if it was actually sent.... you click finish, and it jumps back to the beginning, without any message. Weird...

Ok, Im now 100% sure it didnt send anything. There should have been a promt asking for a MS Passport login, but there was nothing. I will have to create such a passport account now, but I hope next time it will not just do nothing when I click "Finish".

Ok, it works perfectly as expected. On my WinXP notebook, I have exactly the same result as you, no matter if I set the CPU to 1500MHz or 500MHz.

On Vista, I get smooth sound only for 0.28 and higher. At 0.23, the sound is almost gone, only a bit noise every 2-5 seconds or so. 0.22 = no sound at all.

Cmon guys you both know it's somewhere in between. LFS has obviously the best physics, a perfect input code with baisically no delay, but it's still not "realistic". Actually there will never be a program that is really 100% ralistic.
And yes, tyre physics are quite weird in some situations, specially when locking up the brakes. Or the good old full throttle starts, which are still the fastest way.
Locked diffs on asphalt dont really make it more realistic either...

Can you post some more details on "this new functionality" please?

Gener_AL: can you record sound? I guess it would help to have some sound file to attach to the report, even though a little program would be nicer.
Maybe there are other programs (music players / generators) with the same problem, so they can test if their bug fixes work.

I guess it's also a mojor important fact that all the young GTR/GTL players, which should be way more than 90%, are playing in Arcade mode with game pad, and have never heared anything about RSC.
In LFS, we have ALL ages, from 10 to 70 or something.
Also, people are way more relaxed and still understand that they are playing a GAME. Of course, LFS is a very realistic program, but still a game. You can make use of certain advantages which are not there in real life. Shift-S while racing (beaming car off the track), resetting car, no random damage.
All are things that improve the gameplay significantly, but don't really make LFS an arcade game - the loss is rather small compared to the gain, which is huge, because LFS is WAY WAY WAY more fun to play than ALL the other sims out there.
Maybe that's also the reason why many ppl over at RSC are just pissed too much - the sims they play are no games, and thus no fun
