Quote from JogDive : [New in version 1.3 Final Fix#2 (Client only)]
- Client: Reworked TCP socket reading and sending behaviour. The DediLink Client gui
was slow and hanging caused by too much IO operations when online. It´s
working propper now.

Thanks for your great work!

But I have also little problems: :-)
If I use the "Refresh config" button on the tab page "Basic" I've got "Error getting server status". If I push the button on the tab "Advanced", refresh works fine?!
-> I should read the complete readme! Sorry! Everything okay - possible you can modify error message in somethin like "please connect the server also via insim to dedi host!"

A little GUI bug (possible a problem with the WinXP Design):
The message box is a little bit to small when the client is uploading the new configuration. (-> screenshot)

Really great work!

Thanks, but the tracks look ugly - it's not what I'm looking for.
Viewer for tracks

I want create pictures of all tracks (to show in the autorun program; look at http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?t=4690). But I can't write OO code to create images/views of the track with the track data within the lfs directory (I think the cmx files are needed).

Do anybody create a viewer for this or have seen a viewer?

Possible this question is at the wrong place... but via google or within this forum I doesn't find any hint.

I have tested with analyzer tools, which shows (a part of) the tracks... but it's not, what I want.

Thansk for your help

Quote from Cue-Ball :I also agree that you should hold off until the new physics patch is released. It shouldn't be too much longer and the old ISO is still 'good enough' for now.

I'd like to see Run Riot and Don's 'slo-mo' vids included on the new disk.

The slow-motion vid looks very cool - I agree - should be on the next ISO

The Run Riot is also cool... but big! :-(

Quote from maczo :I dont know if it had been suggested, but how about including car setups (optional "install" ofcourse)? At least Bob's "Easy To Drive" sets? I think this would be great help for newbies, as the default/race_1 setups aren't that great. Hmm?

Sounds good! Please send me the URL, so I can download this and could ask Bob for permission.

Now, the great new patch T is out -

I'm already working on a new implementation of car preview (Show room; I think, the bf1 isn't the last new car! ) for the coming ISO version.

I will remove the graphical mods (desert/snow) from the new ISO - Did anyone install the mods? It's a really cool work from the author - but after the release of the first ISO, I don't use the mods again.

Quote from JogDive :Please wait for the next releases to put it on the cd. what do you mean with "unoffical" ?? please send me some details. I´will work on a multilanguage support at home soon.

I will wait

"unofficial" = not supported from the devs (if anyone have troubles with the ISO should ask/write his/her question only via lfsforum.net; not to the devs of LFS). But I've got permission from the devs to publish the unmodified LFS/tool versions on the ISO.

Really awesome tool! Congratulation works fine!

Question to JogDive
Did you give me permission to publish your tool (client & server) on the next unofficial LFS ISO?
> http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?t=4690 (first release)

Looking forward for your tool

Nobody wanted to host the ISO (except via Torrent; many thanks for pushing this distribution way ).

I was able to make it available on my own domain/hosting. I do not get any money/cent for this (by the way: I would have otherwise a more favorable hosting). It costs me therefore a little bit more every month to make it available on my website for the community. But I make it gladly; for the community

Do therefore I think, that's only fair to publish the link to my download page and not directly to the ISO, isn't it? Also, I can see if anyone use the link.

Of course, I want release a new version after the next LFS update; not before - If anyone want the updated autorun, send my an e-mail.

Hi

Very interesting news/interview @liveforspeed.dk (thread http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?p=91556#post91556) - THANKS!

My first release do have some "bugs" - for the missing tracks: big sorry!
(check this thread: http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?t=4690)

I hope the most of them are solved in the new release... should be (the missing tracks certain). But, the movies are a point of critism too. So, if anyone think, his/her movie should be on this new ISO, then post it here (or better: post the link here to the uploaded movie @lfsnews.net).

Are there some tools/mods do you don't want again on the ISO? Please tell me/give me feedback!

Congratulation from Switzerland!

Nice work :clapclap: - all the best to you, scawen, geraldine and, of course, the youngest familiy member!

Cheers

Hm, I think the most are right. A better vehicle damage would be much better than any influenced to the drivers physical condition.

So, I see forward for an better vehicle damage and some "physic updates".

Quote from Pasci :Hm, this should be simply realizable with a text file. Something other (graphical selection) seems in an autorun out of place to me.

This 'feature' is now available and will be included in the next release. Also all tracks are now included. The track window layout was also changed (see pic below). The Show Room Buttons (menu) has now the same look like the others (see pic below).

Ow! Not really!
Drivers physical conditions should be in influenced by an accident

To make the game a little bit more realistic, it should be possible that the driver is limited in his physical conditions after an accident. For instance this could be illustrated by slow reactions and a limited field of view of the driver.

Quote from ajp71 :Downloading...

seeing as there's an *alternative* download right next to this one when you search the site for 'LFS' would it not be possible for Scawen to get this removed or threaten legal action?

Sorry, my english... what do you mean?

Quote from Pinto_PT :I think you didn't understood my point, we can open the ISO image with a program like UltraIso and add or remove content from the ISO image.
So I want to just add some more videos of my choice to the ISO, it would be great the "built in" addon player of the lfs cd to play them.

I guess I'll stick with having lfs vids on a separate cd and when I want to show them to my friends, play them in their media player.

Hope now it gets clear my question

Quote from Slidaaaa :Ive noticed you choose some 'random' movies to your cd, wich 2 of them are mine (DF.1and2)

I just want to say that, dont you think it would be better to make a special selection of wich videos will be in this cd, and, i can make a few special videos, a more 'neutral' videos, whitout being of anyone in particular, neither me, like a promo movie showing togheter the most active lfs communitys around the globe, same for teams, could be a video whit the cooperation of the lfs torque drift community...im sure most people would agree, and quite small but high quality.

My last video is "traction zero: we are back' if you want to check my work.

My intention is just to make it look more professional way...

if want to talk, add [email protected]

Hm... I don't get an answer from you... so possible I ask the wrong person?! Sorry!!! - If you want/do you have time to create a high quality movie, I will publish your "neutral" movie on the next ISO. It's really welcome to me!

Quote from kamo2000 :Great job..some errors i found:
- no so town in tracks

- autorun sometimes likes to freeze when i try to acces movies.

besides that..

> no so town in tracks
What do you mean?

> no maps for new tracks
Yes, I know - this images are missing on the liveforspeed.net site. But I must release this version - in the next release I will create this image (screenshots from tracks inside the program or something like that).

> autorun sometimes likes to freeze when i try to acces movies.
The movies are played back with the Media Player 9/10. The "freeze" effect is that your pc first must load/initalize Media Player. Possible you can try to open WMP first (without any Movie) and then start autorun and playing movies. If you get still some "freezing effects" give me feedback please. But I think, that's it.
