IMHO, squid's reviews and comments are pretty fair... he speaks his mind, wich is ok (of course some people can't bear it). They aren't harmful... he just gets a bit upset when people think a good video is something done in 5 minutes (wich this is not the case, hopefuly).

I have uploaded one video to this forum... "Called throttle control", and squid commented about it. He said it was ok, but I was missing an idea for the video, it was just a bunch of clips with no relation, in slowmotion.

It was straight to the point, and I didn't feel dissapointed at all! I knew it was just a test, and he was right.

I haven't uploaded anything since that video, because I haven't got to the same level again (or higher).

I think that when you post a video (going for Unokeva example, and BigTime's post) at a level, you just can't post something below it! Even though the "pure LFS" was better than anything I've done, with the shadow of his brother video (Welcome to LFS 2 (?)) it was lacking something...

So you should stop crying about some people's posts, and start improoving! Take things easy, and be optimistic!

Wien, shadows aren't sharp, you are right, but on sunny situations at least they are way a lot sharper than ingame

There's something I thought a while ago, and I hope I'm in the right subforum... The thing is... has someone tried passing the CMX viewer shadows to LFS? they are a lot sharper and nicer and all... I think they would look better... I think the shadows are way too blured for some situations...
It would be great if we could set cmx shadows for the Sunny and Dawn situations... The blury shadows are ok for the Cloudy set tho

OT! Why is everybody getting avatars of lingerine models/babes with the LFS logo? It's getting me nervous... I'll have to try it

even tho the s2000 class is "lowpowered", they are tuned for racing/rally, but LFS TBO class is based on purely stock cars, from the '90s. Also, seq. shifting was implemented in rally some time ago already, for being H-shifted too hardcore.
You are mixing things up, stock street cars with rally senseless.

I'd suggest you to get more experience before running anything

I'd recommend you the "Bloom Effect", but don't know wich configuration, there's a lot to choose from. I'm using one wich you can't see the bloom at all (except for the white places, o it's pretty real) but the colors give it a new life to LFS... may be if you PM me I can send you my configuration

then just post them on the raw thread

As I ain't got the original up I'll tell you what I did. I added the clouds, the rain effects, the reflections on the track, and some smoke coming out the exhausts.

it was quite good, indeed. The camerawork is kinda nice, and well, what can you say about a slomo? It looks clean and nice.

And the idea of mixing a girl and the lfs logo at first looks pointless, but you like it after a while
