That's where drifting comes in. I've seen a lot of people spinning because of a simple slide, or a bit of oversteer. Drifting is a good way to practice controling the oversteer of RWD's
You know, FE curbs are divided in two, a soft part and a hard part. If you hit the soft part you won't loose any grip (or at least to me) but the hard part is really tricky
Still, most of the curbs kill your grip, first try a bit with throtle-control.... then start experimenting
would be way much better with BattleGear than with ID game
If you are a racer you should know how to control oversteer, so it wouldn't be a problem. choose any RWD car (Xr's are my favs) and look into drifting servers for setups. Then it's a matter of practice.
Oh, and a tip, drifting uses almost the same braking points and lines.

IMO it doesn't feel faster, but more convincing, specially on the RAC and the LX's
There's a little trick that can help you... as I see, you cut the car, add it on another layer, then blur. Try "erasing" the car from the under layer, even painting the borders of the car like the rest of the track
so that you wont see that red blur under the car.I saw the link you gave to the RR forum... The video is not bad, and the effects are good. There's also some good camera angles... But the music, is not that I don't like Billy Talent, but it just doesen't fit. Also, if you added some info about what was going on, it could add something to "review"
1st. When LFS wast first released as a demo about 3 years back, it was a new car. So FBM is the new one, I'm sure ppl will get used to it.
2nd. The most used car in LFS just CAN'T BE FREE! if things worked like that, demo's should have the last mission instead of the first in FPS's/RTS's.
FBM is quite a fun car also. I really liked it, and the fact is an OW, with not too much power is perfect for learning.
Leaving LFS for a patch is simply stupid, a really wrong aproach. If it's not fun now, then you've never really liked it as you should, it's not the thing for you, just that.
Also I tried both GPL and LFS long time ago, when I wasn't into simracing, and I coped with GPL, but not with LFS (wich I left until november 06, when I got into simracing. Also have played Race07 and it's not as entertaining as LFS, even with the stupid AI)

another thing I noticed that's wrong is the friction of the casis... For example when the car is upside down and goes through the grass, it can't keep on its roof, It should start rolling I belive that's just changing a couple of numbers, I BELIVE. It should be raised on the grass and barriers in general
