Sadly, it can't be done , btw it has been suggested under improvements suggestions though.

Hey cool one! There was another meep meep horn by somebody else, forgot by who. It is a very powerful tool, if you want to pass, honk, the guy in front will laugh and start shaking and losing concentration and his eyes will get moist and blurry LOL.

Guys, don't over analyse the one off representative pictures of tyre wire-frame, that is just the tip of the iceberg of what may be going on.

Awesome pic Litro, Valvoline is one of my favourite BF1 skins, but can you avoid that blurry half cone in the left side?

Again, as I said in my response to Kristi, we cannot compare time taken to come up with a new thesis and the time taken to implement such thesis for example, if you are using Pacejka's formula, you need not re-do all the work that Pacejka did , because he already did it and we can use his deliverable in the form of his theories and formulae. But we have our own challenges in the programming realm. Let's hope it does n't take too long

Well Pacejka is the Sheldon Cooper of tyre physics (theoretical), and Scawen is the Leonard of tyre physics(applied), so just because it took Pacejka took 20 years to invent/discover new tyre modelling system, does not mean anyone applying/implementing the same existing formula (be it Pacejka or finite model analysis) will take 20 years. This is because I assume that, like in any programming venture, we won't be discovering new theories or inventing theories, but we will be implementing existing theories. I presume that is what is happening in the case of LFS tire-modelling as well.

That said, it is not going to be straight forward either. But the main challenge I think, and as Scawen mentioned is to reuse/implement/apply the existing theories and formulae in such a way that neither speed nor accuracy are compromised too much for each other But will it take 2 years or more? may be yes!

Quote from Joe91 :Hi, I'm new to LFS,

Nice info dude! First I thought I won't read so much of text, then I thought you are mocking devs by saying sim programming is too easy. But then your post made started making perfect sense. As I was reading your post, even I was thinking that our devs are trying to find a trade off between the extremely accurate non-real time computation and the very fast emperical computation. In fact I think in the last report our devs also mentioned this same point that, they are trying to make these models work real time, where as in labs with ultra accurate calculations, these computations take many seconds. Anyways good, objective, informative post!

Quote from Flame CZE :Well in some languages, "bottom" is the same word as for "rear" or "back" of a car.

I kind of got that, even then what does it mean? is it referring to the many shots of the rear of UF1?

Nice vid, no over the top effects to distract you from watching the cars, the driving and cars speak for themselves. Camera always following cars, I like it.

Nice save by the XRR at 3:50. Also a very timely and apt "The End" where the chicane wall would have eaten the car for dinner I am sure.

Solved Incidentally, Frogs visited our server and I told him the issue, he in turn informed fm-failure and he was kind enough to visit my server, get my IP range, and fix his firewall filtering asian IP's. Thanks FM!

With the new progress report this seems kinda redundant now, may be the tire wire-frame is a better avatar

he he then I think you guys are thinking alike

Hey I have been having this question for a while. Why do many leagues run the same cars and/or tracks during the same time of the year/month. Do you guys think alike? discuss? or is it just coincidence?

This Oct, AB league, ran FE2R open track with XFG, soon NDR Klub ran UF1 with FE2y. Then NWL ran B11R, AB league ran BL1R and then Super GT ran BL1r during the same 1-2 weeks. This week Tuesday Rony ran FO8, u guys running FO8. I am just seeing the patterns

Good... That is what most kids want... A lot of content, maybe a little shooting also with it.. .

ROFL, ya may be we can have feature like Top Gear when people shot with lazer sniper rifles at speeding Porsche and Mercedes, lol
