lol ok yea. Prolly I didn't notice much as I mostly use the "none" view. Also I was thinking may be the legs can move just like hands move on steering.
Philosophically, I don't know why it is a problem. Here is a licensed user willing to help out demo users with uploading skins. It is not like demo users pestering him. According to XCNuse's post, uploading skins is the right of a licensed buyer, the licensed buyer in this case wants to use that right to upload some demo user's skin as a favour. All is well IMO, unless of course mod deletes the posts asking for skin upload (as per to announcement)
1. First of all happy to know that something is waiting in the wings (although the report is very similar to the last one )
2. +1 Inouva,
3. Coming to RIP LFS, What do you mean by LFS is dead? I am not sure, may be it is not as active as before. But it is still very active. Look at the online and hotlaps stats being updated. Look at the busy servers. look at this thread for example. Hoards of passionate people have responded within seconds. There are many busy servers where I even get "host is full", even other than cargame.nl. Personally I am happy the way it is, ok I am eager to know what is coming up in S3, but still there are lots of fun to be had. I installed other "modern" sims but I still come back to LFS.
And I would n't mind if more content is released before the physics udpate coz it is not like the current physics is totally wrong or something. Ok may be Sirocco depends on new physics, but still if there are fictional cars which will work with current physics, it would be cool to have one small gift in the form of a car or track.
Take your time, what we want is quality not quantity IMO. As much curious and eager as I am about new physics and content, I don't want to get worked up on updates though, I wanna enjoy the sim for what it is now.
Hey dude, as required, me and CHTI (along with Stu and Rome) have done 2-3 races after the server restart, pls look at the replays and give us the license!
Well try out reducing all graphics details to minimum as Silver suggested, reduce resolution also. Make sure you use the "multiplayer speed up" option and reduce LODs and also reduce distance to draw cars. Well try them one by one and you can see the FPS increase. If you are using hi-res textures, try using the default LFS files instead. Also, can your laptop specs? coz it is possible that you have an insufficient graphics card/RAM et al.
Well already OWRL (http://www.owrl.de) uses a similar system where people log times in the server before race, and people are separated into batches and there will be 2-3 servers where each server has people of similar lap times racing together. Is that what you had in mind?
Great vid Martin, in fact what made me try out LFS was one of the videos (tyre.wmv) present in the LFS site. Your video is imilar to that, clearly showing awesome things like, suspension movement, tire deformation, weight shift etc. Good work!
Well I still use XP I like it, it just does the job of being the unsung hero that an OS should be, without intefering with the more important jobs, also being light on system resources. For, OS's may come and OS's may go, but XP still goes on anyways coming to OP, I don't think XP is the culprit here, after all, most of LFS's history has been on XP. Also off the top of my head, is it possible that you are using a user login with very restricted permissions?
omg!!!!!!!!!!! I have never been so scared in my life!! Tip: don't look down, no one can hear you scream! lolll Hey it as an actual layout, no exe prank. It is really scary. I have attached it here
