If this turns into a CTRA, where I need points to drive the TBO class, then it will no longer suit casual racers.

Does the update allow me to keep my cars?, because I finished the game.

Quote from U.S. Racer :I have this problem too, now that I just got my G25. I can't set the acceleration or brake as the pedals, or anything for that matter. When I join a race, it revs in neutral the whole time.

you forgot to switch from keyboard/mouse to wheel/joystick in controls?

Quote from pearcy_2k7 :Nah its coz you can think of words very fast so when they say like the first letter you think what words could corrospond here, so youve thought of the word before she has said it, i bet you can't say it before they do though

spot on for me. And I have to say Lerts, this happens to me very often also, ignore it as it is usless to you at the moment.

Meh. I'm just excited that BBT is back doin what he does best.
I'm going to learn alot from this thread.

P.S. so im not the onlyone who realises the sluggishness(?) of the XRT's motor? Thought it was just me.

Quote from LazLoW :Driving and drifting can be very different things. I've heard Scawen's opinion on cruising and his simple reply was that this is a racing simulator. I completely agree. Not a drifting simulator.

What are you on about putting driving in bold? I never mentioned Being against drifting.

Quote from LazLoW :I know that Patch Z has improved car handling, but I assumed that would be for racing purposes. In Patch Y I didn't have a chance at drifting, but I just hopped on a drift server for fun and actually did well on some corners. Patch Z, or better car control on my part?

Since you seem to misunderstand my post. Would stating "...I know that patch Z has improved car handling..." be specific enough to explain why you are not sure why the car is reacting as it is now, or would I still be safe saying that Scawen wrote exactly what changed ( rear suspension arms were raised, improving stability and overall driving pleasure of the car :tilt

Why are you all arguing on a point, which is directly affected by each of your cars gearing? In LFS the turbo is only RPM related, when it comes to the speed at which it spools up ( e.g. @redline with no throttle > full throttle the turbo will spool faster than it will from 2k RPM ). Also, I shall use the XRT for this next explanation. the turbo in the XRT can not attain full boost untill 4k RPMs, the exhaust below 4k rpms is simply not enough to fully spool the turbo. This makes me remember also that new in patch Z there is also a lag between the time you accelerate and the turbo kicking in, is this the time it takes the exhaust to overcome the rotational inertia of the turbine?

EDIT: from wikipedia
Boost Threshold
Turbochargers start producing boost only above a certain exhaust mass flow rate (depending on the size of the turbo) which is determined by the engine displacement, rpm, and throttle opening. Without an appropriate exhaust gas flow, they logically cannot force air into the engine. The point at full throttle in which the mass flow in the exhaust is strong enough to force air into the engine is known as the boost threshold rpm...

Sometimes I wonder if any of you forumers actually read the updates list.

The XRT and the RB4 had the rear suspensionarms raised which increases stability of the rear now. All I did to compensate for my setups was to reduce the rear antiroll bar.

EDIT: the lower CoG comes into play aswell

@OP - not only the XRT headlights, look closer. The whole body seems redone and is no longer flat, for example the gaps between the rear fenders and the trunklid.
I also just hit a barrier and noticed that XRT headlight piece does not take the damage exactly the same as its surrounding metal pieces. ( instead of bending the the headlight was pushed in )

I see great things in LFS's future

Sorry, I may be off topic but I stopped reading this thread as I realised that those planning to "switch" to iRacing, are those with the least posts on lfsforum. Not that it matters, but I smell advertising. This is LFS forum if you want to discuss how competitive an ALFA game is, consider the fact that arguing on the internet is [ insert random angry word here ].</offtopic> iRacing may or maynot be an awsum GAME, I am sticking with LFS because I like to witness the progress, however slow and dramatic.

Nice Advice there , i'm a learner also so I guess I can benefit from this thread. Apparently I downshift differently than I do in LFS, instead of kicking the throttle to match RPMS, I gradually depress the throttle pedal while releasing the clutch into the lower gear. This works for me during driving lessons . On one of my lessons I had to drive another student home and he had to look to see if I changed gears or not , I fealt accomplished.

Quote from thisnameistaken :Weird. For me it only happens if I switch to (or from) a pre-Y driver name. I added some extra driver names and they had no effect.

And the body pops back to "normal" damage as soon as you hit anything.

also try switching from deformed damage to normal damage, with driver change from pre-Y driver name to new one.

Sorry but im curious about my possible similar problem. When the left side of my pedal is being pushed from 90 degrees (north) to 0 degrees (forward), it makes about 3 clicking noises . Its a road bike I got for free and put some money into, it is over 20 years old. This bike is all I have to signify freedom!. :P

Very nice bike indeed , and about the "scratch noises coming from my bike's cranks", did the noises sound at a particular angle of the crank or randomly?
