Ok I need to shift my DFP and rather than sell it, I thought I'd come up with a more fun way of shifting it... and benefit the LFS community at the same time.

So here's a competition, open for those that like making movies but at the same time DO NOT own a steering wheel for LFS.

I'll be recruiting a judge to help me out (PM me if you want to be a judge, I think 3 is plenty)

The theme for the video is: "The Black Parade"

I know it's the name of a MCR Song, but that doesn't mean you have to use the track for your video.... it's totally up to you.

Ideally the video should be 5 minutes max and 3 minutes minimum.. keep them punchy

Please host the movies yourself, not youtube if possible, something like gigasize.com or megaupload.com are easy to use.

Once your movie is up and hosted, email the LINK to [email protected] and i'll pass the link on to the other judges, and we'll narrow down to the final 3 and announce the winner shortly after (once we've finished arguing)

Please have all entries in by July 1st 2007, I know that's quite a long time but creativity can't be rushed!

What's the drooling for the screenshots? Those shots that has motion blur are taken from the "photomode". You might as well as call them photoshopped.

Doesn't really look that different in game tbh, there's a full replay released now in 720p

I know the feeling I sit playing on the 360 with my G25 in sight and it's maddening!!!! hehe

They're said to have reworked 'Teh Ring' so should be a bit better. It's meant to have mapped all the little bumps that cause so many problems too

Slight delay on the game, end of May they're saying now... as for the Demo they're being crafty and not letting on.

I suspect a few weeks max... or at least I HOPE!

I make a rule with girlfriends that every time they play mind games like all of the above they don't see me for a week.

Firstly thank you all for the kind comments.

Regarding dropped frames, i've just ordered a processor upgrade, it's the fastest I can go without a new motherboard so I hope it is enough, in the worst case scenario it should at least make dropped frames/shoppyness less frequent. I'd like to record at half speed but I desperately need replay rewinding (and then some special software development) before I can do this, otherwise I have to record 12+ full length races at half speed.

Regarding the 'bathroom' echo. My PC is in my conservatory, at the moment there really isn't anything I can do about the acoustics of the room sadly . If possible I will try to record with the garage and kitchen doors open so the sound doesnt reverberate as much - but if the kids are home this isnt an option - else you'd be moaning about the sound of screaming, violence, and cartoons in the background!

Ok this will sound COMPLETELY daft, but if you record with a sheet/duvet like a tent over your noggin/mic you'll get perfect sound... poor mans studio... very common trick though for voice over talent who can't make it in.
