That disc is the type that businesses get bundled with new PC's and isn't really for resale. Though there is an OEM version you can buy, but the disc does not look like that. Probably more around the £70 mark.
We used to throw out hundreds of those discs every week at my old job (Big Investment bank in London) as we couldn't sell them on and had our own build of windows 7 to use. Looks like someones been helping "recycle" the disks and making a quick buck in the meantime.

EDIT: read the bit at the bottom of the item about microsoft and ebay policies. Says he shouldnt be selling it in both unless the pc comes with it. Probably hoping nobody notices!

As a lot of the others are saying, go for the odd choice, something most of the age bracket doesnt buy.
Personally (although i was 19 not 17) I was torn between a Fiesta Zetec S and a ford capri. Same performance from both power and 0-60. But the capri was about 2k cheaper to insure.
So mid-small family car, or something unsual for a young person (Saab/skoda/land rover) would be your best bet.

Quote from Scrabby :. Ford Escort MK1 with a Zetec 2L engine, seems fun.

Not with a 24v cosworth or a duratec then?

You can always practice on your old head if you still have it, although carb heads are different to injection in port shape, not by much though. With a turbo i guess its as straight and open as possible rather than needing to create any pull as the air is being forced in already!

http://www.turbosport.co.uk/showthread.php?t=134004 first page of that might give you an idea as to what you might want/need. its for a 200bhp n/a pinto but gives an idea.

Have you thought about porting it yourself PeBe? Theres a few guides and bits about. Not sure if des hamill's pinto book covers turbo porting though, but theres a few specialist books out purely for tuning the pinto engine. might save you a few € and means you can port it to how you want the engine to be

psu calculator reccomends 438w if your at full load on a brand new unit, one your supply is a year or two old it suggests 490w, so 500W+ minimum

I reckon AMD would be (just about) best bang for buck. that an the more stable platform (AM3 for how long??).
My only worry with your build is, have you calculated the Power usage? 430W seems very low. Would think that build would need 500-600?

Is it just me who gets annoyed by most Fisher Price My First Tool Kits that say 100 pieces but you only get about 60 usable because the other 40 are all imperial tools that have no real use?

I find that very helpful actually, my capri is about 60% metric and 40% imperial!! So having the mix of both means I'm not having to buy 2 different sets.

What is the make/model of car? Might help track down known common faults for that engine.

Quote from Scrabby :No, might even improve it a bit. More weight to the back to get a better weight distribution.
Although my E36 has a very good one allready, that's why I'd like to stick to a 6cyl.
Think I'll go for the supercharger anyway. M3 engine on boost, will be cool.

Talking of M3 engines on boost, thought you might be intrested in the first few pages of this thread.....

http://www.turbosport.co.uk/showthread.php?t=101237

E30 m3 S14 16v evo2 engine turbocharged to (in the end) around 500bhp.

That means you aren't driving it properly!

Quote from Eclipsed :That's not an older model,it's just special coupe modification of the same model. Wasn't it even with cosworth badge? I don't know that exactly...

The one Matrixi posted is a mk1 model. think its an XR4i 3 door going by the rear spoiler stack. Cosworth 3door had a slightly different layout and was on the mk2/facelift.

Nice 2nd sierra, would recommend changing the head though, the Emax is a small port, low flow head. sure a 1.6 or 2.0 will fit

That all depends on if its 2-pack primer or not

Quote from Martinss :Almost forgot, that I have an S2 account, yesterday started to play LFS again, also readed lfsforum.net a bit, found some old threads where I was posting. Anyways, a little update on my car.

Also 2.0i pinto engine died, so 2.9i Cosworth it is.

Nice Sierra, How hard was the BOB to fit? Heard the EECV module can be a pain with the PATS system, or are you running the BOA ECU/loom and just a switch for the variable intake? Currently putting a BOA into my ford Capri that was running a 2.0i pinto, intresting to see similar conversions.

Best thing is to bring the old MOT cert from last year so they can get the car details easily. And as it has been said already, spares arent included, but something I've learnt with older cars, if it aint there they cant test it

Kevin went home early - after being out qualified by an amateur, and then I was quicker in the first race, he probably wanted to avoid being beaten by amateurs too

You must have done quite well tristan, you were mentioned in the local sport news on the radio today

Get an old classic, or something a bit unusual, that drops insurance price most times.... something like an old vauxhall omega or ford capri or a series 1/2 land rover. Think out of the box!

My capri was £1500 to insure the first year of driving, cost me £750 to buy. 2.0 2 door classic sports car for your budget aint bad.

Just a little snippet from the Jaguar XJ220 wiki....

Quote : In its place was a Tom Walkinshaw-developed 3.5-litre V6 race engine as used in the Group C XJR-10/11 racers, fitted with twin Garrett T3 turbochargers, generating 542 bhp (404 kW; 550 PS) of maximum power at 7000 rpm and 476 lb·ft (645 N·m) of torque at 4500 rpm.

So a 3 litre twin turbo with technology 20 odd years newer should have no problem
