Jakg, cant you do the service yourself? Its only an x-flow engine, theyve been around since the 1950's! Parts would be very cheap and wouldnt take you half a day.

I had smething similar before, turned out the PSU connector had fried itself to the mobo to the point where the leads were melting after a few seconds causing the shutdown!

Mainly to try and help the oversteer issue, should iradicate lift off/coast oversteer in the setup and also the low power lock should stop him going sideways when you put your foot down. The diff settings can make a lot of difference in the XRG.

Could always try a clutch pack LSD, put coast lock to 80% (or whatever is highest) and power lock to about 25%. should solve your problem.

and the pc is all cleaned out inside? Just wondering if its performance throttling due to overheating, lower settings=less cpu/gpu strain=less heat

Mines been fine, though I'm running a 500gb for more reliability. (one plate over two or three plates in 1GB drives)

Had one of the new Mclaren road cars fly past me on the M11 the other day. Doesnt really stand out much apart from the luminous orange colour!

I notice a difference with ride height and downforce, but I can switch the camber completely opposite directions and nothing happens!

Found out the reason in the end, for some reason Zone alarm wasnt having the permissions window pop-up for the new exe so instead the game just hang. Changed it manually and all working now!

Just had lfs freeze when using 0.6A3 for the first time, clicked multiplayer and it hang on the "connecting to master server" part. Couldnt get any crash details sadly. Think it was probably more a glitch from my end though but thought id mention it just incase.

EDIT: Though CTRL+ALT+DEL and end program doesnt seem to work, does everything it says but the EXE doesnt stop running!

Thanks for the info guys, sadly I think my board is just plain AM2, AM2+ had only just ben released and was way out of my price range! Still, gives me an excuse for the Mrs to listen to when I spend a few hundred on a new pc

How does that system run on recent games? Looking at building an identical system (maybe different mobo but same chipset and a samsung spinpoint 500gb). Just wondered how it went and if its worth the upgrade from an athlon x2 5000+ BE and 8800GT?

Not gonna rat it more, it has little spots of rust on rear arches and on doors so it's enough rat look for me. Point is that it has to look kinda just like another old stock Sierra but the engine is something different.

Nice engine you have there PeBe, Gonna need a bit of work for the 200bhp reliably!

Theres a guy running the pinto efi turbo setup liek you have at 300bhp on a capri site. I'll try and find a link to it for you for ideas!

I have a similar feeling, when I was on keys brake/throttle was obviously on or off, but I could run much more braking force at blackwood and kyoto than at south city or fern bay even with an identical setup. Kyoto has always seemed generally grippier to me for some reason. I'd like to think that there was something modelled to make the tracks different.

Not a fan of this idea, especially for long races with pitstops, having the tyres set to change at a certain wear percentage helps a great deal in calculating tyre wear and strategy. Forcing it no matter what just doesnt do it for me, even in tin top racing the tyres are changed based on wear most times.
