yeah same here. tho i seem to have it in my final balance (top right hand corner) as my profit/loss chart says i made a loss, then im £100,000 richer

jsut try and get one sponsor, even if its one of the 1 star ones, gives me quite a bit per race. helped me get a 2nd driver and lots of staff.

but paying him £113k is nothing compared to the (approximate) £250k for the rest of the season!

@blade: at least i can actualy race then :P just got a sponsor and working on a 2nd, so hopefully ill be able to improve my team and car a bit more.

best quali and practice for me as well! (blade, how did you get so fast?! and stil not make a major loss)

sorry, hijacking again, ill go through the post again and see what i can take out of what you have shown me devil 007, but a quick question u mention the Core 2 Duo E4400 (2, 0GHz, 2M, 800MHz)............and then ive also seen (yes i know its old) a Intel Pentium D 945 3.4GHz/4MB Cache/800MHz FSB. now i know everyone is saying go for dual core, but for things like lFS which dont use a dual core would the pentium processor theoretically be faster then the core 2 duo? and if not, why? as it has more cache, more mhz and the same fsb.

It uses both at the same time, can work without the USB though i think, maybe if i just unplug the usb from the pc itll pick it up? its a motorola SB5100 modem if that helps. ill have to give it another go later in the week

ive tried ubuntu, i like it, but my stupid cable modem wont work so i get no internet ive looked things up on how to solve it but nothing makes any sense, its getting anoying!

Thanks to all 3, i understood devil 007 nicely, jakg kinda made it too simple and then i got set values so i'm back where i started (but i think i got it) so, to hijack the thread again (sorry) currently im not really using anything that "needs" dual core, would it be a better idea for me to get a single core system? LFS is pretty much all i play, and a few older games (which i think were out before dual cores :shy and i have a very small budget. but anything to beat my old athlon 2400xp will do. (oh and if anyone can throw(post WOULD be better) an upgrade on my geforce fx5700le just send me a pm )

slightly OT but, you say that the old pentium dual core is nowhere near the new ones, even if its the same Mhz, is that just down to the fsb or what? (and you can go into the arcitecture if you wish, i think i can just about remember the van neumann (sp?) diagram)

well you wont need the extra ram, when i checked (using ctrl+alt+del) lfs only used about 200mb but the CPU will be the thing holding you back from what i can see (As is my lil old athlon 2400xp)

as I've mentioned in another thread in these last 12 hours, i don't find it to much of a problem to drive with keyboard, i can get middle pack in any car (minus the FWD GTR "cars") or in the top 5, and thats with the keyboard, i do have a DFP (although the pedals need throwing out and a new pair being acquired) but i find im only faster in the FOX, FO8 and BF1 with it. and thats after 2 or 3 months :s so it just takes practice with the keyboard as it does with any controller.

i know how you feel, i used keyboard since i started on lfs back on S1, i upgraded to my S2 license and used keyboard for 2 (maybe 3?? i cant count) years, and now i have a wheel (with very dodgy pedals) and im only faster in the single seater cars with my wheel, in all the others my keyboard wins by over a second
