As I said before, get the tickford capri in guys, have a nice RWD classic that they can get all the data they need for. Shame the public like to vote for every common car thats in every game
Ecu light could be a sensor (most likely) Might the the O2 sensor or some kind of MAF sensor not reading right so the mixture and timing are totally wrong hence causing the bad running.
Sounds like a voltage overload to me. Would explain more heat to everything even with all that cooling. have you tried checking voltages at all (externally, not using software etc) when its running?
Enjoy the nice cold cloud and rain? Same every year here! There are quite a nice bunch of cars about. If you came monday you might have seen about 30-50 old skool fords at a diner on the A127 out of southend
Done a compression and gas test? Diesels are run on compression (bad wording but its the only way i can think to put it) maybe the pressure is too low for good enough combustion to make the car have its original bhp, but the turbo bring it up to "normal" so it runs fine on the turbo?
Use a 2 litre mondeo then! Dont destroy old classics. If you can see the ground through the floors then maybe, but if not give them back!:chair:
At least sell the wings etc for spares, done exactly need them, maybe use an exchange basis for old rotten ones to fit
Might be worth asking on www.turbosport.co.uk Loads of old school ford people on there. Didnt know you had taste Lep Join the Club http://www.retrofordinternational.co.uk/ these guys might have what you need. Might be best giving them a ring, if its not in stock they can find it for you! Probably your best bet over the turbosport site.
Type 9 ford boxes are quite fun, well the 5 speed anyway, Reverse, first, third and fifth are all along the top row of the gear lever. and theres none of this new psuh down/pull up business to get into reverse, can cause some nasty mistakes when trying to get first in a hurry! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayI ... ize&item=320478945401 thats the best pic i could find.
Sounds about right, got an OEM CPU from ebuyer the other day, just came in a box with the CPU on a sponge pad inside an anti static bag all inside a little carboard box.
