Installed it and so far I'm impressed with it. Mind you I have only been on MSN and browsed the internet with it, so haven't really tested it with any programs as of yet.
Why? I was just asking what it's advantages and disadvantages are basically, so then I can come to a conclusion on whether I should or shouldn't jailbreak my iPod.
You can always reset the iPod, so how will it end in tears.
Okay, I will have to go around my mums then and get the 2.2 version update that I bought for my iPod Touch then. Is there a jailbreak version out yet for 2.2?
I am thinking of jailbreaking my iPod touch but don't know if I should or not?
Does anyone here have a jailbroken iPod Touch and tell me what it has to offer.
Ah okay, I think I understand now. just hope it will allow me to install Linux on it's own dedicated partition I will use Wubi for the meantime whilst I get a better understanding on installing Ubuntu to a partition
I have came up with an idea. If I install Ubuntu on my old failing hard drive and then copy all the files over from the old hard drive to a partition on my current hard drive, would it work or not?
Also when creating partitions in Disk Management, you can only create NTFS partitions. How do I go about creating a ext3 partition and a Linux Swap partition?
K, cheers. Just have to see whether it will pick up my partition I have made for it when I go to install the OS using the CD. If not I will have to put it on my failing hard drive for a bit until I know if I am allowed a 40gb hard drive out of an old PC lol.
If I install Ubuntu using Wubi, will it install Ubuntu as an application or as a OS. So on startup I can chose what I want to run... Windows or Ubuntu?
What is Wubi? Sorry I barely know anything about Linux.
I know you can put the disk in and chose whether to install it as an application inside windows, to install it along side windows or to install is as the only operating system.
I want it to have it's seperate partition and not to be an application inside Windows.
I am trying to install Ubuntu along side Windows but for some strange reason it wants to use the whole drive and not the free space?
I think it is going to repartition my drive and not make new partitions.
I am using the Live CD to install, would it make a difference if I used the alternate cd?
