What are the advantages that Linux has over Windows exactly. I have heard that Linux is a lot better than Windows but I do not yet have the knowledge of what Linux can do to know why it is better. Could someone please tell me what are the advantages and disadvantages if you don't mind.

Why do Jolie's boobs seem a lot bigger in those pics of the game to what they are in real life lol.

There are loads of films I could recommend.

Zak and Miri make a porno isn't very good.

Have to say a classic though, Con Air. "Put the bunny back in the box"

Greenmile is also good. I would also recommend Wanted, good film and plot imo.

You can't say Jolie isn't good looking though. I know there are loads of better looking celebs out there though.

Underworld has larger boobs.

Angelina Jolie was the better Lara croft in my opinion.

The new one doesn't come close.

Dont matter how big the new lara crofts boobs are lol. Jolie has got to be one of the best looking girls in the world, amongst celebrities. There are obviously others out there who are better looking.

Quote from CSU1 :

I caught my grandad years ago playing TR, he claims he was trying to climb some rock or something when in actual fact he had Lara Croft up against a wall in a corner messing with the camer angles trying to get a look up her shorts( true story now that's sickening)

You can't blame a man for trying lol.

Must have been very sick to witness though.

Best bit I can remember about TR 1 on the PC was doing the whole stage of getting into the maze to have a couple of laps on the quad. Had to climb up into the antic I think, then push something down, jump down to the ground floor and get into the aquarium as quick as possible to get the key to the maze. I used to spend hours doing that lol.

Could some one provide a working link to download Windows 7 please. The Microsoft isn't working for me either.

I have a key but need a link to the 32 bit version.

If people here have downloaded both the 32 bit version and the 64 bit version, maybe they could upload them as a torrent so we can download them and we then know that they work.

Well I think I will try Ubuntu out.

Does anyone know of some good applications for Ubuntu? I have OpenOffice but need others.

I think I will have to try Underworld out. One bad thing though is that Angelina Jolie is no longer TR, don't reckon the movies will be the same.

Where do I get the key and find a working download link?

Going to put this on my old hard drive which is slowly failing lol.

Quote from hyntty :Mandriva - stay away. When have the French ever been good at anything else than cooking?

When have the French been good at anything lol

I will mostly go with Ubuntu then. I will go on DistroWatch to find out what Linux OS suits me though.

Quote :Ubuntu is really excellent for people just getting started with Linux. Its GUI configuration tools are great and most hardware is autodetected and set up for you, no extra drivers needed. If help is needed there are always the Ubuntu Forums (http://www.ubuntuforums.org/) where you can go for help regarding any trouble you may have with an Ubuntu (or Xubuntu/Kubuntu) installation.

PS: I'm typing this from an Ubuntu installation on my EeePC - works rather well even on something so slow

Thats why I had to put Xubuntu on my Laptop(Evo N200) because it ran at snails pace with XP Pro on.

What Linux OS with a graphical interface do you recommend?

I have Xubuntu on my laptop which I have had on there for about a month now but still have to learn about everything Linux has to offer, so really I am a noob to Linux.

Would Ubuntu be best to put on my desktop along side Vista or is there a better one out there?

Cheers

Worked out why it didn't work, we had a few problems with the wiring in our house yesterday which we have now sorted which turned my pc off when the cloning was on 99%. I didn't know if after the cloning was finished it turned off or didn't turn off, so I done it again last night and it cloned the hard drive properly and it is now working fine (100%)

The old hard drive which I have cloned boots fine, it's the new one I am having troubles with. I will delete the partitions and try to clone it again if no one knows of a fix.

I have cloned the hard drive and I now get an error on bootup.

Error:
(Windows Boot Manager)

Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause.

File: \windows\system32\winload.exe

Status: 0xc000000e

Info: The selected entry could not be loaded because the application is missing or currupt.

How can I fix this, I don't have the Vista disc to repair it. I have read that there is a command that can fix it but I don't know that command. If someone could help me over come this error I will be most grateful

In Disk management I need to format my new hard drive ready to clone my old hard drive to my new hard drive.

I installed Vista on the new drive for tempory purposes as my old hard drive is failing. When I installed Vista is partitioned my new 500GB hard drive into 2 partitions, one 50gbs the other 10gbs. Can I delete both of these partitions or only one of them?

I made this one first. But I thought I would get a quicker answer in the computer systems section so I created one there.
Cloning hard drives.

Could someone tell me how to clone my hard drive please to a new hard drive?

I have tried several programs but they either don't work or they wont find the new hard drive.

I have heard Norton Ghost is good to use but don't have the money to buy it.

I need to be able to format the new hard drive aswell as I tried to install Vista on it using discs that HP supplied with the replacement hard drive but it installs but stays on something called 'HP One-time setup process' and doesn't come off of it.

So I need a program that can format the hard drive aswell as being able to clone the hard drive aswell.

Should I give Norton Ghost a go? Does Ghost transfer the files over or does it make a archive file?

Or any other software you could recommend that will carry out both tasks I am looking for. Or will I have to format the new hard drive by right clicking on the hard drive icon and pressing format and get a program for cloning, or are there some out there that do both jobs?

Cheers.
