That's exactly my point. The game wasn't designed to run AA and AF, so therefore i leave it off. I personally don't like the mushy graphics, i like the sharper lines. Look at my screenshot and take a look at theh white lines on the road... No thanks.
Personally, i think AA + AF makes the game look too blurry and it hurts my eyes after a while. I leave my settings on "Application Controlled" the way they the graphics were designed to be
Perhaps they could have a standard/slow speed animation for the non GT classes. Then have a faster speed animation for the GT classes. Then for the F1 class, they use paddle shift anyway, so they would either not animate anything at all, or just animate his fingers moving the paddle.
I think there should be a more realistic seperation between the GT and non GT classes. How hard that is to do, i'm unsure.
Definately.... we're blowing it right of the water. But if no-one suggests it, it's got no chance of ever happening. Just putting some ideas out there in the hope that one day, it'll happen
That's all well and good that the movie doesn't fit your taste preferences. Each to their own.
But next time, you could be a little bit nicer about sharing your opinion on someones work that has taken them hours to do. It's just a little thing called common courtesy... I'm sure you wouldn't appreciate someone commenting on your hard work with "it was very basic, rather boring, had horrible background noise (the credits called it "music") and was generally just a gathering of most effects the editing software seemed to offer."
I didn't manually disconnect from the server. I just got booted (dunno if i was kicked, or just connection dropped) but i've got a good ADSL connection and i wasn't ramming anyone so i don't know why it did either.
Ahh well, it hasn't happened since. If it does i'll seek some help
Hope to see ya's in there. I'll just go in the most busiest low ping server. Probably ProRacingRoom or something like that. If we get enough people requesting it, i'll put up a server so we can do what we want.
That would be SO awesome. If some how it could be engineered so that it had a return lane, that would keep the flow going. I've drawn something below which might've been a total waste of time because this is all impossible, but i don't think anythings impossible with programming, right?
The blue area is the "spawn" point. Where people go when join the server.
The grey area is the warmup point. Now, this is where you warm your tyres, but it's also the staging area. I'm sure the question of "how do you tell the server to activate the race?" has been thought by many of you, and why couldn't this warmup area be the activation point? So in order to start a "race" you would need two cars to be in this area, the server then "resets" to reset the clock. These two cars in the warmup area need to stage properly like in real drag racing and then the lights go green and they're off!
They finish the "lap" and the server says "race finished" displaying times. The two cars then return down the return lane on the right hand side and the next two cars need to then activate the race start by going into the gray area, thus beginning a new race.
We could have a pits along the area down the bottom so it seems a little more realistic with entering the garage. The yellow part at the end of the track is just a sand pit for those really speedy drags
What do ya's think? I don't know if i'm being completely ignorant here, but hey if it's possible, i'm willing to help with ideas on how to possibly tackle problems!
The guy knows how to drive cars and he's driven a lot of cars... doesn't mean he is the Automotive Bible.
How terrible is the t/c when the guy takes it onto the test track towards the end. The nose almost hits the ground because it's jerking back and forward so hard!
"One reason why it is so fast is because it has something called Anti-lag, which, no one in the world can explain" illepall
That's a fantastic example of compressor surge. It's just a shame that he's fed 1000's of people false information because he didn't do a bit of research before hand.
Hey bud, sorry but i only just got home. It's not up all the time. I don't know if there's an option to save a server on your favourites or not, but if it's up, it's up and you should be able to see it. I've had people in there before (on S2)
Keep an eye out for the "Ausrotary" server. It's a server that i have up and running most of the time (only down when im downloading) which was formed for the fellas from Ausrotary forum but everyone is welcome (except rammers )
That looks fantastic dude! The reflection looks real, really un-detailed! That fuzzy blur around the lights looks tops!
The only constructive criticism i could give you is the rain itself could improve on realism. Inbetween the two front cars, in pretty much the middle of the picture, the rain should possibly be 'thicker' and be making an impact on the ground, that way you can get a perspective on the rain. So just a bit more detail on the closer rain and it would be perfecto! The rain above the cars which is in the background looks great!
