Every person I've known who owned a Ford vehicle was not happy with it. American engineering is low quality. They might work well for a few years, but 10 years down the road you've got to "lift" the door to close it etc.....

I only buy Japanese or German cars. Better engineering and resale value.

Ok, I think I'm going to put each bottle into 2 ziplock bags, then slide 3 or 4 socks over each one, then wrap each one in a towel.

As for the idea of opening the beers and putting them in plastic........ they would lose all carbonation. NASTY.

I'll let you know how it works out.

Ideas on how to get beer from Canada to Venezuela on a plane?
speedfreak227

I'm flying from Canada to Venezuela and I'd like to bring some Canadian beer down for my cousins. I won't be able to carry it on and if I pack it in luggage I risk it being broken or frozen and exploded.

I am thinking about putting each beer bottle/can into 3 or 4 succesive socks, then placing them into an insulated container or some sort.

Has anyone got any MacGyver ideas to help me out?

Quote from nikimere :i thought it was brilliant, although i dont think it was his language that was shocking, it was his complete disrepect (maybe not the right word, but i'm tired) for the "Schumacher Celebration"

he didn't miss any celebration. it was a stupid little presentation. they barely covered it here in canada.

Does someone know of a site with a listing of all the drivers and teams next year?

The sites I frequent don't have it.

Thanks,

I've driven many hours in the rain on slicks with my kart. It's like being on wet ice.

It's great fun.

I'm waiting for Coulthard to put out his annual "next year I'm going to win the championship" press release.

Seems like the same press release has already come out, but they cut and paste "Jenson Button" in for "David Coulthard"

the only reason i want to d/l it is so that he's got it right when i present it to him. i don't want to say, "here's a coupon with an access code, no go download it."

i tried that link with all the people registered in Venezuela but i couldn't find anyone who has a single online lap, mile, or gallon of fuel burned

Quote from 96 GTS :It probably doesn't make sense to people outside the U.S./U.K. but here they're fairly common.

Basically
Working class = working at McDonalds/other low paying hourly jobs
Lower Middle Class = Working in a factory or something
Upper Middle Class = Middle management at an office or something
Upper Class = C.E.O. or some other executive of a big company

Hello, Canadian here

and good examples.

Does anyone from Venezuela play online?

My brother in law lives down in Venezuela and loved this game when he came to visit me. I'd like to buy it and bring a cd down there with me for him to instal and activate online. I just want to make sure that is possible first.

The reason I bring it up is because I know they can't buy things with credit cards over the internet down there due to government rules.illepall

But I'd be buying it here and only bringing him the game on a disk and the password. He has high speed internet.

Thanks,

i dissasembled the brake caliper but that "dial" didn't turn to adjust the stationary brake pad.

somehow the read one went together tighter and seems to be grabbing properly but the front still seems pretty useless.

i'm windering if his pads are too worn possibly.

I like this article

Very interesting about the Media Center

I like this quote, "These are not team orders, you understand, these are voluntary decisions of the drivers involved."

But I have to disagree with the writer about Toyota. I think they did well to start third and fourth and finish sixth and seventh. You can't complain about a double points finish. That means only 6 cars on other teams got points.

My buddy recently picked up a new mountain bike and his disc brakes aren't grabbing very well. Does anyone know how to adjust this style?

Thank you,

Quote from thisnameistaken :Me and the missus had a good laugh at that smoking Ferrari today. The karma wheel was in full effect it seems.

I wonder if Massa will collide with Alonso at Interlagos?

After all the BS that's happened in the last half of the season I think Alonso deserved this one.

1 - Renault losing it's suspension because it's a moving aerodynamic device
2 - Ferrari using wheel hubcaps that should be banned by the same rule the way it was interpreted, but nothing is done

3 - fernando "blocking" massa in qualifying at monza and being brutally penalized
4 - massa BLOCKING alonso at japan and nothing is said

5 - michael jumping the chicane to avoid being passed but not pulling over or getting a penalty

My reaction last night when I saw it was michael with the smoking engine...

Quote from keiran :http://www.f1racing.net/en/news.php?newsID=132137

You have to be kidding me, Mr Brawn should really shut up after ordering the Ferrari powered car of Norberto Fontana's to hold Jacque up at Jerez 97.

Keiran

it will be interesting to see if massa develops an "imbalance" in his car if he happens to be in front of alonso as some point in the race.

Quote from 96 GTS :That's the serpentine belt, not the timing belt.

@Fonnybone, there's a 2.0 NA 4 cylinder Jetta/Golf sold in the US, not sure if that one is sold in Canada or not, there's no engine size badge on the back, it just says 2.0 on the engine.

I meant serpentine, not timing. :ashamed:

And I figured it out with help from VWvortex.com

Thanx all,

Steve

i took two pictures of the belt. in picture A you can see the tensioner on the upper left and most of the belt. in picture B you can see the tensioner.

it sort of looks like the tensioner is spring loaded and i can bend it out of place perhaps. has anyone seen this style before?
