I wasn't fishing for compliments, I really wanted an honest opionion, and it has gone the way I expected it to, a few people dislike the drivers, most people think it's only an oval team, where as in truth several drivers don't go near the oval in a single seater anymore, and alot of people know nothing about the community behind the team, such as the ventrillo server which makes racing so much more interesting, being able to chat with the other racers while racing.....

The TeamName comes from another game in which the clan participates (Quake 3), but the clan also has teams for LFS, Quake 4, CounterStrike, World Of Warcraft etc........

The name has just been used for all games
What do you think of the Fragmaster Team?

WRC stages aren't always the same from year to year, they may be in a different part of the country, use different roads, or simply make different turns @ junctions.... A driver can't be expected to learn all the possible routes and memorise the correct one with one drive through @ slow speeds.....

Smaller Rallies keep the same configuration, so you will see some drivers without a co-driver (But there has to be a passenger, Sometimes they offer rides to spectators at their own risk!)

In america, haven't insurance companies taken to installing camera in cars (1 facing the driver to take evidence of his awareness and 1 pointing through the windshield to see what the driver see's), this lowers insurance premiums as it provides video evidence of what actually happens in a crash....

This is a good idea, and I think more companies should do this.......

When my Ninja was in for a service I had a Fazer, and allegedy wrote it off!

Ended up having to shell out £1000 in excess!

A few snapped plastic panels, snapped mirror and scratched frame, apart from that no damage, didn't think much of it, picked it up, drove it home, they picked it up and got a phone call saying it was a write off we want our money (Tip... NEVER EVER USED BRIDGE MOTORCYCLES!)

The worst part is, I want even riding the bike, started it, was just about to get on it when it slipped itno gear and flew off, my jacket got caught on the mirror and took me with it, couple broken ribs, bruising.....

Oh well, nevermind, at least I keep my no claims as it wasn't a riding accident!

Just stick to your line, if they are quicker they will overtake you, but if you feel uncertain about getting round any corner, take it easy....

Also, go and buy a wheel, after a week or so you will be going much smoother and quite a bit quicker!

GTR2 will look awesome, have a good damage model, and should be fun to drive, but let's face it, anyone who has drive LFS with a wheel, will not be dropping it for any other racing game!

Make one move, so yes, pull in front of the other car, but make no contact at all.

Take the inside line as you said, but there has to be enough room on the outside when exit the corner if they are still beside you, again, no contact...

Swerving on a straight is not defending your position, if they are overtaking you on a straight, they are quicker than you, let them past and jump in the slipstream, overtake on the next corner...

Thats just my opinion

Surely this thread was meant for capturing in race shots, not AutoX with ramps, everyone get 0 wheels then!

Very good point, I wasn't even thinking about oval races, you may well be right as certain oval's have a pit road, I was think of circuit racing (That this rule would affect, otherwise different codeing is need for tacks and ovals...)

I know it's there, but IRL you can switch into the "Pit lane entrance" whenever you want, you are allowed to cross the yellow line as long as you car is inbetween the 2 whits lines as you cross the pit lane entance (Speed trap starts) - This is another Ferrari cheated for years, ut we won't go into that now!

You can't enforce crossing yellow lines on entering pits, AFAIK no real life race series enforces this... however exiting the pits is a +1 from me....

As for the stop+go and drive-through penalties, these can be given to the drivers in race by a race admin and the driver will see the message telling them they have to take the penalty, if they ignore this message and finish the race, they are DQ'd automatically

just type /w pb

But if it's on the HUD, you want the splits from your PB, or to have the split times colour co-ordinated as IRL, Grey is slower, Green is faster than PB, red is fastest of race

The shift light doesn't nesecarily tell you the perfect time to shift, it tell's you when there is more toruque available in the next gear AFAIK

Nope, it's a fact women have less peripheral vision than men (But what they do have may well be better then men's)
Thorvertonian

Except they wouldn't be as aware on track (Less peripheral vision) which is why more accidents occur in womens racing on turning into a corner....

Only problem with this is locked wheel before a turn means 0mph??? I like the current system taken from drive shaft, as far as I'm aware, the racing cars I have the chance to look round, take their speed from the rear axle....

Quote from Shinanigans :Unless you classify "mid engined" and "rear engined" differently? As far as im concerned, if it's behind the drivers seat, then it's a rear/mid engined car and they both have the same meaning.

They are completely different, most small companies can build a very good mid-engine sports car, but very few companies (Including the big manufacturers) completely fail when it comes to rear engine (Engine behind rear wheels)

As far as I am concerned only 1 company has managed to produce a fast and good handling rear engine car, and that would obv. be the prosche's.....
