Quote from jibber :I'm into taking photos since about half a year now. And here's a few of the shots i took so far...

Number 27 is my favorite there. It reminds me of something that would come out of a real darkroom.
All very nice work.

There's some random automotive photography of mine here, if you are so inclined.

That course looks really really fun...

Your PAX time is like your handicap. Each car is assigned a value (say .86 for an integra versus .73 for a Corvette) and then basically your lap time is multiplied by that number.. That's what I was curious about. Someone in a Ford Fiesta (or a really sweet Corrado for that matter) could theoretically win against a Ferrari or Atom, etc., in PAX...

Sweet. Love the Corrado. First time out? How was your PAX time?

At least the spacing between the cars is equal. It shouldn't affect anyone's start...

The technology to record it is simple... The "technology" your brain puts forth in deciphering the sounds is the amazing part. They use TWO microphones, yet your brain tells you the noises are coming from an infinite number of positions... very cool.

drippings ftw. plus a scrubby shower mat thing that CATCHES the drippings and allows one to scrub their feet without having to lean over...

Cool. Did you piece it together or do some actual carving/constructing?

I didn't see this mentioned.. The Pontiac GT series gto race cars have a cable system where the driver spins a little knob and the cable attached to the rear sway bar can alter it's stiffness, or preload i suppose.

Or, you could use the polygonal lasso tool wihtout any feathering. That way, you can follow straight lines perfectly, but also follow curves and such. Works well for me.

Oval Junkies is a little different. When I'm there with 5 or 6 people late at night here in the states, it's usually not too bad. Everyone is running 31.xx and being very clean. Other times, with a full grid in the middle of the day, it can just be ridiculous...

Quote from Bob Smith :...I know there's not a great number of populated servers during the American evening time but if it was as bad as you were making out, there'd be more threads on this issue.

It seems as if I can always find a good race in Redline Racing or Conedodgers. (I'm in NW U.S.) Try those maybe?

This does not seem to be the general consensus. It may take longer than you expected to find them, but there are plenty of great servers, hosting plenty of clean racing. Not to mention the STCC league and other sanctioned events. Stick with it and I'm sure you'll find some great races...

I think I heard Bob or Al say it was very hard to rev match in LFS (no clutch.shifter here, so senquential with auto blips is my only good option), which you would have to do to execute a PROPER clutchless shift. The gears would engage IRL (or try to anyway) if you just jammed the stick in without any clutch or revs. So I think he's trying to say that even if you wanted to rev match and shift without a clutch, you can't in LFS.

This may have been covered elsewhere so i'll keep it short. I definitely don't want to see bodykits and the like in LFS, but to have a clone of something like AEM EMS, Hondata, Chrome, etc., would be really fun IMO. Something not as drastic as Tweak that could be sanctioned somehow.
Yes, I understand it would be a lot of work for the devs, but I'm just throwing it out there....

This might be a no-brainer, but also make sure your gas and brake are set to a different axis...

Great idea. I like the rock chips, and agree with Al in that you need more along the skirts and front bumper. The brake dust looks a bit much, but what I really like is that it appears you've made one of the headlights on the first pic look as if it has started to turn yellow. Cool.

70 or so average during single player.
I've dropped to 6 or 7 on the mulitplayer grid though. Not fun. For anyone.

Quote from glyphon :iirc, it was turbografix 16. and it wasn't as big a POS as the jaguar or the 3do. the TG16 at least had a few games worth playing on it.

I remember the Jaguar. That didn't last long...
