lerts, you're thinking of it like each thing we "see in our minds eye" is a tangible photographic print. Zoom far in to the sky, take an infinite number of pictures while spinning in a circle, line them up side by side and yes, they will stretch further than we can see but:
We, lucky as we are to have imagination, can simply combine all those images that supposedly cover more than one sphere and squish them into our tiny little 360° reality by way of overlapping each image or memory with the next.
Not too worried about dirt on the tires, for now, but no pitstops or flags? That just seems ridiculous. No endurance races or caution laps for near $200 a year?
I bought it because it has Lime Rock, pure and simple. It was my dad's home track when I was growing up. Despite the games many flaws, and my affinity towards LFS, I still enjoy ripping around there once in a while. The new Mid-Ohio in the 'Vette isn't too bad either.
Niels, I have to say... I just took your Corvette out to Mid-Ohio for the first time and it was the best feeling rFactor experience to date. The whole "lose the rear more than 10 degrees and you're spinning out at any speed" thing is nearly gone!
Next time that happens, steer the opposite direction you would naturally to correct the slide. You'll be surprised that the car will straighten itself out... completely backwards and against all logic but it works for some reason...
That being said, the recently released Mid-Ohio feels better than any track I've tried. The mid-corner elevation changes can really be felt, and all of a sudden the rTrainer feels good!
One thing I've always wondered since Y...
Why are the colors for the FBM lcd display so earth tone? The other single seaters you can find a nice bright red, amber, blue, etc. The colors available on the FBM dash are all browns and purples and colors you wouldn't expect a display to be. Is gray the only viable option?
