Is it just me or are there more higher level racers on the lower servers now? I just don't remember it being like this before the switch over. Is this a taste of things to come or just growing pains? My main reason for wanting to get my silver licence was to move out of the T1 crashing. I'm not the fastest by far, but I'm fair and love racing against other fair racers even if they are faster.
This is still the best racing to be had on LFS!

This says it all!! I really liked th CRTA servers because they were against the hotlapper mentality. I hope this hasn't changed. The other thing I have noticed is the make way for JOE BLOW messages as if the big blue flag message wasn't good enough.

I actually placed third in a race and received no points because my lap times weren't close to the fastest lap. The thing is I was racing against a Gold licenced racer who placed first. Well not against because first and second were so far ahead I never saw them. Not a hope in hell of catching them.

This is the problem we at the lower end are not just racing each other anymore we are racing silver and gold racers. It is hard enough alredy to place well without being outclassed buy a way more experienced racer.

I second this!! For some of us lesser mortals competing with much more experienced drivers makes life very frustrating to the point of not playing for lack of progress. I was 97% of the way to silver before the servers went offline and still haven't scored one point since the servers have come back online.

here is the speed test

all of them. This didn't happen pre X. I'm wondering if it is because of increased # of cars on track? As in more information coming through the DSL.

I'm on wired High speed DSL exelent speed for everything else including online first person shooters. I'm also a photographer and look at lots of pictures on line so my connection isn't the problem. No viruses and windows firewall and updates are off. I even turn off my anti virus when I play.

Hello all
I'm still having this problem with losing the conection! I have everything that connects to the internet turned off. I have lots of computer power for the game and my internet is pretty high speed DSL. It is almost like my connection pauses. There isn't anything else going over the line and nothing is trying to access the internet. As soon as I try to join back to the server my connection is fine, until the next drop out.
This is so frustrating!!

Here here!!! Although I can't seem to reach the 144,s or even close. I agree that making people look after their cars and actually stay on the track for more than one lap would be nice. I would also like a server with the old # of cars aloud because my internet conection can't deal with that much information. I keep losing the server.

Is it just me or are lots of other people losing connection to host when there are lots of drivers on a server? Is this a test of my highspeed internet or lack there of? Or is this a symtom of the new patch X? Help would be greatly appreciated.

I know how you feel. Yesterday or the day before someone I won't name on a CRTA server bumped me off the track coming into a corner and then when I said something to them. They said I was slowing them down and was hogging the perfect line! WELL OF COURSE I WAS!! Thats where you race to go fast. Some people don't get it they think because they are going faster they are better than you. They need to realize that if they were better they shouldn't have a problem passing a slower car.
