yes keyboard, i havent tested the other cars yet. but in LFS X10 it was no problem to do a good burnout with keyboard.

Hi. i just noticed something not sure if this is supposed to be this way but i was trying to make a burnout with the FBM car just pressing the throttle key and brake key at the same time in 1st gear and it worn my clutch out in like a few seconds completely also with handbrake same effect. i used the default raceset.

It only helps a bit if you set the brake balance all the way to the front then you can make one small burnout.

Try to hold clutch + arrow up + arrow down.. and release clutch

Yes i would love to see engine-damage in a way that somebody could break his gearbox or the engine catches black smoke or a fire Maybe thats something for a LFS S3 version or something. Something that could be developed in the very future when the race-physics has been pretty much finished at that time.

Same goes for the exterior of the car (flying parts, breaking glass, losing a tyre when it breaks off the suspension of the car etc.)

Good job. Tested the clutch again on X35 with FBM, had the same time again.

Im not a car expert at all i tried to read all these posts but it sounds to technical for me. Almost look like 80% here are car-engineers

Anyway Scawen if you need some flat-clutch testing again let me know since my logitech g15 macro is very accurate (on the millisecond).

Don't push yourself to hard Scawen you doing a great job, forget the deadline think about the quality of the game. Think about X-mas etc btw merry xmas to everyone already.

I tested the clutch today with my Logitech G15 keyboard (Blue version, not red one) on LFS Patch X33. I made a clutchmacro (Check attachment screenshot). Interesting results i got on draglane with Button Control Rate set at 10

I almost did 12 seconds flat. Default setup did 12:49.

I cant clutch like this in a race because it will worn out my clutch very fast this way. But it can hold on the draglane.

I also added my replay and dragset for FBM so you guys can test it out if you want with wheelclutch , mouseclutch or other clutchmethods.

Shiftpoint at 9000rpm.

Nice patch.. did take a quick look. I love the Button Control Rate that has been changed from 6 to 10.

There is 1 thing. About the setups of the cars i created.

I noticed that the Settings folder is now named as Setup folder.
Also the names of the cars are different like "XR GT Turbo_Race.set" is now named as "XRT_Race.set"

Is there going to be a quick setup conversion tool because the old setups from patch x do work in the test patch .

Also the RAC car is called "RaceAbout?"

Great work.. I like that ideal-racing line.. Thats the same thing as they have in Forza motorsport and nfs pro street right?

Good for learning the tracks Can you enable disable that in all tracks?

also curious about the physics.. those UFR's at the end of the movie seemed to look more realistic when it comes to suspension bouncing.

Hi guys.

I have made a new race-setup for XRT-car. I use a Logitech G15 keyboard (with a shift-macro). I was able to do around 1:25 - 1:27 laptime on blackwood with keyboard. Wheel should be even faster but i havent tested this set with wheel.

When using this setup with keyboard i strongly recommend to use "Keyboard Stabilized" and a "Limit Multiplier of around 0.55 - 0.60" and everything else at highest setting (all sliders to the right side in LFS options -> Controls section.

Its a bit slippery (bit drift-like) when steering to much. its a matter of getting used to control it properly and this set has pretty much grip.

I was wondering.. is it possible to lock the car when the 4 yellow lights during car line-up are on.. and when its green the car unlocks itself.. to prevent unfair starts?

is dedicated neccesary? i didnt do dedicated.. anyway i seem to have another problem not related to this mod.. when i create a LFS server (Internet Based) it doesnt even show up in the serverlist (When i run 2 instances of LFS) 1 for server and 1 to check if it shows up in serverlist..

then again im on wireless internet from my neighbours lol.. maybe its the router firewall

Great mod..

But i have the same problem as "Lord Lugarsh" .. it says debug 11 here.. connects fine but dont see any interface.. it just say "InSim - TCP : ISRM" and "«Øs»ÐRäGK!NG», welcome!" and thats it

and yes im in my own multiplayer server. but do i need more players before the interface activates itself.. or should it immideately activate it when i start the dragmod?

hope you can help me out a bit.
anyway good job.. we needed a dragmod like this years ago

Well i used to tune my garage setups with that locked-launch system on draglane so i could make the best times possible.. but now since the false-start feature is introduced also means that my tuning times are less accurate because with the same setup you can get different times now due to the reaction of your own start. In the old launch-system you just launched automaticly when the draglights turned green

Its me <<OS>>DragKing also creator of snow,future,desert and nightmod. back to the future lfs movie etc

its been a long time since i played LFS.. mainly because i have a new room (student house) and been busy doing other things next to gaming. I had no internet for like 6 months !! now i currently was desperate and found a unsecured WIFI network where i can log on to (free highspeed internet)

Just wanted to ask how are all of you doing?

Been testing latest LFS.. some nice changes .. especially since i do alot of dragracing i got a false start on draglane (that feature was new for me hehe).

Hi guys.

i havent played LFS for a while and yesterday i played it again.. i noticed some new stuff but i was wondering there is this new "False Start" system at the draglane.. is it possible to enable/disable that? because i like it when my car is locked at red light and then released at green light like it was before in the old LFS-versions, then i am able to tune my car-setups better and then when im finished with my setups then i can race with the "false-start" system enabled..

imho the lfs developers should create some identifiable info in the demo part of LFS (like you have in S2).. so people that cheat in the demo can also be banned by ip or some other identifiable information..

maybe a "signing up for a free demo-account" isnt such a bad idea?

then you have a free demo account and a registered s1/s2 account.. but it both works in the same way..

The night option was hex-edited in the wld folder "blackwood.wld".. since that file was also from a older LFS version it may cause corruption.. but like you said the night option is not important.. as long as you can see nighttime ingame

yes i see the problem.. this is the nightmod.. i forgot to remove the exe file.

unpack everything EXCEPT for the "LFS.EXE" and "WLD" folder.. since these files are from a pretty older LFS version and its causing corruption.

so reinstall latest LFS.. and then unpack as described above..
