Didn't Scawen mention they would need to change their company structure because of certain tax requirements enforced by steam? They would also loose some independence, it may be easy and convenient for us but I doubt it's as straight forward for devs.
Not sure if anybody is aware of it but this may be something for Scawen to try and get into? Seems like a good way to reach VR enthusiasts and make use of a completely now form of interacting with game assets while talking about all kinds of decisions that went into building them.
The Gearvr is for samsung mobile devices, you wont be able to use it on a pc or with software compiled for x86 systems. You can only use software compiled for android.
Good stuff, even though it will be hard to police but an official stand against it from the cityliga is a good step I think. Maybe Scawen can also help a little at some point and get this fixed on his side, he seems to have it on his list at least.
According to the computerbase review they are always on and you need to turn them off by either unplugging or by using a power strip with a switch. They use 5w per station no matter what, the vive goggle itself is pulling 3.5w in standby and about 12w running.
Quick translation, he mentions that due to LFS' openvr implementation chaperone seems to be always on, so he always sees the green gridlines when he plays lfs. The only way he got around it was by setting the chaperone walls 20-30cm back to a "false" position in the room.
They mention LFS a couple of times during the whole review, all in all they seem to enjoy it with the vive.
Not all of the cars are affected, as far as I can see it's only those with asymmetrical maximum pressures on front/rear.
Cars allowing to change pressures above maximum allowed in F12 menu:
F08: can set pressure to 2.1 bar rear (max should be 1.65 bar)
FOX: can set pressure to 1.88 bar rear (max should be 1.65 bar)
FBM: can set pressure to 1.8 bar rear (max should be 1.65 bar)
FZR: pressure resets to 2.1 bar on the rear (should be 2.4 bar)
XFR: can set pressure to 3 bar rear (max should be 2.25 bar)
UFR: can set pressure to 2.55 bar rear (max should be 1.65 bar)
FZ5: pressure resets to 3.45 bar on the rear (should be 4.05 bar)
RAC: pressure resets to 3.3 bar on the rear (should be 3.45 bar)
XRT: pressure resets to 3.75 bar on the rear (should be 4.05 bar)
XRG: can set pressure to 3.6 bar rear (max should be 3.3 bar)
XFG: can set pressure to 3.75 bar rear (max should be 3.15 bar)
UF1: can set pressure to 3 bar rear (max should be 2.7 bar)
I don't think it's that important in most car, but could give you an advantage in the formula cars if you can get away with running R1's because the higher pressure helps with topspeed and temperature.
I guess it's something to do with my mcgyver setup I was hoping some other nginx users may have gotten this to run already and may be willing to share some tips.
Mh, I do seem to get different errors. Tried with some CL21 replays and got this now on Aston:
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /mnt/storage/www/mpres/includes/functions.php on line 487
Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /mnt/storage/www/mpres/includes/functions.php:487) in /mnt/storage/www/mpres/tpl/header.tpl.php on line 12
Another CL21 replay on Blackwood and I get the same error I posted in my last reply.
Isn't this guy advertising his kartsim since years under a couple of different names? I remember signing up to some newsletter about 10 years ago. No idea if we ever see a product but it looked nice whenever he posted new teasers.
