Pretty sure those are not the same, I've got them too and they where made by some french member, can't remember his name right now I'll try to find him again.
Well, it certainly was possible to execute malicious code with tampered mpr replays, so yes I understand people not wanting to run replays from random demo users. The chance of something happening is minimal but still, you make it sound like it's impossible.
Add as much infos as you can and hopefully scawen will read it. Do not add it in the forums, if stuff like this gets public even more kids will use it.
Usually it's a good sign if we don't hear from scawen for some months, that means he is busy coding. If he posts he is taking a break, so I rather have him not post for a while longer.
Thanks for organizing on behalf of Concept Racing, we had a great time until my Internet decided to play games with me. I had up to 50% package loss for the complete duration of the night and somewhere around 6 o'clock our only remaining driver had to call it quits, shame it had to end like this we where looking forward to a great scrap for 3rd position.
28 - J. Olfermann, is lagging really bad, we almost hit him some laps ago and now it happened, he was gone then, came back right in front of us, nothing we could do to avoid him.
The middle part of the spaghetti will be either undercooked or the outside overcooked, you're better off just throwing some saucage into the water by itself and then eat your perfectly al dente spaghetti together with it.
That seems to be a 3 screen problem and certainly is a bug, I heard other people with 3 screens having the same problem. It works perfectly fine on my single screen.
You got no clue what you're talking about and with every reply it gets more obvious. The server does not render any frames it just receives and sends multiplayer packets. As mentioned already inform yourself before you try to make yourself look like you've got any knowledge at all.
I don't even know if I should keep replying, you either are a troll or completely delusional.
In short:
No the developer (!) certainly did not put in hidden cheats
No people do not cheat online in S2 servers.*
No the server doesn't need updating more then 6 times a second
No to everything you may think of replying right now
You better inform yourself before you pull general statements out of your behind that may be correct for different games with a lot bigger userbase.
*To elaborate on that statement, I can count the cheaters I saw in my 5 years on one hand, that must be a pretty low percentage and they where banned in no time.
You lost me there, but I love the inside knowledge on the community you gained in the few days of having a license! You should meet up with Racer X NZ you two would make a good duo.
I would never advise a newcomer (who seems to search for clean racing mind you) to go to cargame, that is probably one of the worst places to start. First of all the different classes do not make it easy to keep an overview when you're already struggling finding the sweet spot in your own car, second of all the driving standards are sub par.
As mentioned already by other people I would advise you to go on one of the well admined and looked after servers with just one class of cars so you can actually learn the lines and braking points from faster and more experienced drivers.
If you're hunting for some setups check http://setupgrid.net/ or http://setupfield.teaminferno.hu/ , those are mostly hotlap sets though and you may find it difficult to drive those at first. The standard race_s set is a good start until you get closer to the limits of your car, once you're in around 1-5 seconds (depending on the track) of the midfield cars I would consider searching for a set that suits the track you are currently racing on.
You could try avidemux or otherwise why not convert your files to something streamable (I would guess you want to put it on youtube?) and then merge it?
edit: sorry I didn't see that you mentioned avi demux already
Well, if vdub complains did you actually check if the samplerate is different? If so you may want to convert just the audio, remux it back to the file and try again.
