Race

"YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"

R. Kardol ( LFSW: Rik97 ) finally made it! And what an overwhelming result it was. Despite the fact due track and car and other racers, Rik got overtaken early at starting lap, he covered his lead position at last corner and led all the laps from pole and set also fastest lap. If Round 45 was curse for him, this round was pretty much opposite of it! Excellent performance and well done!

Only four racers managed to see finish line. 2nd place goes to T.Soini who was left from last position at turn 1, but due steady and clean run, result is another podium and this time even better than just Bronze. However, luck was on his side strongly as well because System from FSR Team ( LFSW: Kova. ) thought there is mandatory pitstop, he lost his 2nd position to Soini and was left to 3rd place. Funny though.

And 4th position goes to Gevin ( LFSW: Sandisck ) who was clearly on podium pace but mistakes cost him all the plausible places and was last guy finisher. Still, could have been way more worse.

Here is some highlights at opposite direction of above!

Start grid and start.

Hekazi manages to be first guy ever who officially receives a penalty by false start. But because he DNF, no penalties received in book.

Turn 1 looks like this: Barjoe is the first guy DNF as he drops off the path. Also some collisions happens and Hekazi pulls out flashy "chicane cutter"

Now at last corner, Rik manages to keep his lead!

Disaster happens to Jay quickly, he spins out:

However, just before Jay spun, Hekazi goes to pitl.. err... he actually MISSES the pitlane and gets spectated by "wrong way"

UM21 drops first time. Ultimately gets back on track, but suspension damage causes him to drop once again at right hand turn and goes wild adventure. Even so he manages to get back but loses it finally by taking "wrong route!"

Adebayor ( LFSW: bila_khs ) loses control at last corner and drops away. Sadly, after he managed to get back, he drove wrong way and InSim forced to spectate: DNF

Gevin has flat tire:

Wili has also flat tire

Both guys at on these videos will retire, but amazing to see how similar the method is!!!

Gevin makes mistake and drops... Ultimately he gets stuck but luckily he escapes before the mighty "idle minuter checker" goes nuts and spectates Gevin by idle.

Now chaps, the funniest moment of Round 46:

TRIVIA

Twice this track has been held and both times Grand Slam occurred. Sobis was the original "GS" maker in round 4, Rik makes now same in Round 46.
Gevin used most of !flip commands: 9. UM21 used 5 times and Adebayor 3 times.
Hekazi was the first guy ever to make official false start, which gave 45 seconds. He ultimately retired from race by taking wrong lane/line at pitlane and tried to go back to pitbox wrong way. That forces him to spectate, which means DNF.
Rik97's first victory and also Grand Slam! Similarly happened like Sobis in Round 4.

Stats and points are updated!

Thank you for participating this round! Next round will happen TOMORROW and will be announced very soon. Track is once again to be used one, and car is somewhat slow. Stay tuned!

Nice one! I sometimes, although rarely usually do those kind of but instead of burning rubber, I simply do it with Layouts.

( I had done one resembling by someone's face but I lost it back then due HDD failure, so I have to just use this one, which you have probably seen this last year. )

Race

Despite fastest man in track took 4th time Grand Slam, the victory was not really secured until Jay's mistake on "back road", as attacking on lap 1 and 2 took some suspension damage to UM21's car, to obtain fastest lap. FZ50 GT2 was this time indeed fastest car and only GT2 cars were used, leaving FZ50 car unused as taken to be a joke car ( 5:31 is fastest lap done with FZ5 ).

Second place goes to Gevin, having same car as winner and managed to cause some pressure against pole-position guy at opening lap, but pole hit before last U-turn caused his plausible victory withering away. He also joined to infamous Pole-club, where several other racers, including UM21 as well, have hitted once or more. The other club in MTDZX- Flat Out! Series! is legendary Tree huggers club. ( *cough *cough Rony *cough )

3rd position goes to Mr. Steady and 4th place goes to Jay from Finland, who was going to finish AT LEAST 2nd, until the mentioned mistake happened.

5th place goes to RedBot, who was the only guy selecting FXO GT2, and 6th and last place goes to Rik97, who had some issues at drop zone, crashing himself off the track twice. Still, finish is finish, unlike Hekazi ( LFSW: henkkamamma ), who sadly somehow lost control at straight line.

Well, here is some highlights.

Start and it's grid.

At turn 1.

After the "little drop" ( called so before the real one, as car technically drops back to road. ) Gevin almost loses it and goes on drift by R. Kardol's pressure.

Now the real men arrives from the drop zone. Here's how it went:

Rik's car after the crash.

Now on "Drop by 90", where after the fast S-turn and it's drop, enters to 90 degree corner. Here's how it went:

Humps section: Hekazi hitted sign before even managed to get here:

This is the known pole. Gevin simply hits it.

It wasn't perfect run by UM21. Here is loses control at "country side" section on lap 3, which causes to decrease gap from 15 seconds to 7 seconds. Also, suspension is not on great shape due attacking the course on lap 1 and 2.

He unfortunately did it again:

Situation at last lap. People sees leader!

And here is how it was settled.

Actually, this thing isn't THAT rare, but rare when driving in narrow section alone. Hekazi simply DNF's by finally dropping to the void, when finding path to get it back on track.

TRIVIA

GT2 was absolutely faster than FZ5, 18 seconds to be exact per lap.
UM21's 4th grand slam.
Hekazi sets new !flip command record: 20!!!!
Gevin used twice and Rik97 four times.

Stats and points are updated once you see this text having a hotlink.

Thank you for participating this round! Next round will be set on next week Tuesday at same time and will contain this time fast formula car. Track is again used before and AGAIN it happens to be used from first rounds. Stay tuned!

Race

Lovely!!!!

Round 44 will definitely be the one of worth mentioning round in this series! Big start grid and rally style flat out! track did sacrifice several racers. Only six drivers did survive, all of them did start from Top 6 positions. Ultimately and perhaps obviously, it was Gevin ( LFSW: Sandisck ), who reached finish line first! This rally champ guy proved the point as no matter what kind of track it is. As long as it is rally and requires hybrid/knobbly tires, victory or nothing are the only options. So he did. Gevin set STAGGERING pole position laptime at qualify and led all the laps from start to finish. Only thing he missed was setting fastest lap, as UM21 stole that one for own cause. Despite several other racers did challenge Gevin, no one was matching up his strategy as zero mistakes and good race pace. Well done Gevin. Congratulations!

"Silver trophy" goes to indian driver, RedBot ( LFSW: redbot_ ). He managed to keep good pace on final lap as Jay from Finland was absolutely catching him up. Only under second was the gap between on them. One more lap and Jay would have taken 2nd place. This time, Jay ( LFSW: jh89 ) takes the bronze.

Nice performance from both!

4th place is taken by Willi aka champ aka German Curling Player aka Mr. Flat Out! aka ( LFSW: Will.I.Am ). Rollover and several mistakes almost cost up his finishing result, but survived and was also 3rd fastest guy at track.

5th place goes to UM21, who also managed to rollover and ultimately dropped off the track, but managed to get back. Had good fight against Gevin but "fatal" error against him surely cost a lot. Still in Top5.

6th place goes to T. Soini ( LFSW: teppari ), who had amazing roll at first lap and also made several mistakes. However, slow as normally but steady as well proved once again how finishing the race is done.

Amazing amount of highlights awaits you! Scroll down and enjoy some moments! Smile

As always, we start this start grid. Lovely to see so many cars. Also video of the freaking start is also included! Video is taken from Jay's driver sights.

After T1, you can still see many RB4 GT cars on this picture! amazing! NO ONE retired from Turn 1.

Amazing flip happens by T.Soini, look at that!

After that flip, we are now on narrow section, where Adebayor ( LFSW: bila_khs ) hits that narrowed wall by hitting the right section wall ( not shown on the vid )

We are now on the section, where braking is absolutely required. Mr. Savage has savage crash. ( Eventually gives up and DNF )

Now on the forest section line. See how many kind of different racing lines occurs!

More details from it, Dawidson ( LFSW: czopcio ), the first timer, hits the tree during the way out of the forest. Result in aftermath is weird line, but survived as seen on video above.

Ultimately, Dawidson hits "final wall" on opening lap.

Now probably the most funniest part: Willi and first timer, Hekazi ( LFSW: henkkamamma ) starts to play some curling on lap 2!

Meanwhile, Dawidson retires after this accident on turn 1, lap 2.

Trees are funny in LFS.

And now the error between UM21 and Gevin. UM21 thought Gevin goes flat out on that jump. Turns out, mistakenly thought.

It was this close to drop, no problem!

26 Bama_boy ( LFSW: xavier26 ) retires after this incident. Aftermath is sideways.

These are funny too, Michal ( LFSW: michal 1279 ) from Master race Car team, hits one

Now several people retires in short period in following order: First blood from this group goes to Michal.

2nd one is this guy by simply losing it by bad suspension damage:

System. ( LFSW: Kova. ) goes like this way.

Hekazi's turn:

Meanwhile in this short period at pitlane:

UM21 also managed to roll over. 2wheel skills didn't pay out:

FSR Barjoe ( LFSW: barjoe17 ) is the final guy to retire from Round 44.

Some regular, common show-off.

And finally, some regular, UM21's version to dropping off ( but also getting back! )

TRIVIA

Most of the people didn't even repair their car at pitlane! Result is obvious!
6 New guys joined:
henkkamamma Hekazi
xavier26 26 Bama_boy
jdcanada1974 Dr. Savage
barjoe17 FSR Barjoe
czopcio Dawidson
Aab |l2

!flip commands used:

Willi 1
UM21 3
T.Soini 1
Hekazi 1
System. 2
Bama_Boy 1
Michal 1
Dr. Savage 1
Dawidson 1

RedBot's 2nd Silver finish.
Jay's 4th Bronze finish.
Gevin's 4th win.
Round 44's race was 3rd shortest so far.
14 racers did start to the race. New record!
First time no one from racing for team entered to podium!

Stats and points are updated once you see this text having hotlink.

Thank you for participating this round! Next round will be on this week's Thursday and will contain Class 6 cars. Track is also known to be used before. Stay tuned!

As far as I could do some implements for my own, instead of doing with hardcore/insim, Simply used some macros by 3rd party software, along with Corsair's own software. Basically what I would do is simply record for example my whole driving in LFS, and after while, I simply save it and bind it on any button and once time comes, I press that button and "tada", car works itself 99,999% of time.

Theoretically possible to use this on multiplayer, but due several changes, as such as different start position for each race for example, it won't be practical.

Only thing I still do not get it once I go on Shift+U Mode, none of the actual recorded macro buttons works at all. Still no answer of it.

On topic
Off topic

EDIT: But of course, it would be better and easier simply doing an insim script, which forces to put first gear instantly after car is reseted.

But if that is not possible, then having software which supports ALL functional buttons and records the "space" button or any other button/key, which is car reset at default, binded with space + shift up button

Quote from GT4_PL :Developer + Bike = Slowly working. Frown

xd

What you try to say is more like Developer + Life = Slow Work

Sell Life and go back to LFS = Fast Work!

But we all are required to live our lives. Including me too ( at least sometimes for now, HAH! )

Quote from Scawen :Well... it does need graphical updates to stay vaguely up to date. If you take a look at the really old versions of LFS, you'll see it has come along a great deal over the years and there wouldn't be anyone at all online any more if it looked now how it did back then.

That is important, and it's important for me to try and make sure the 3D system can allow Eric to create the effects he wants to. Or at least some of the effects. I'm always behind what he would really like it to be.

I had a relaxed month in August due to the school holidays and had a nice time here with the family. I'm back on getting some updated shaders finished so that Eric will be able to use them. We'll be able to release a patch with some fixes and graphical updates on Blackwood, Rockingham and Westhill.

Then what I really want to do is get the tyre physics finished so we can release the needed updates and then hopefully get onto supporting some elements of user created content. I can't be any more specific on that as there are no fixed plans.

Would that be also attached to LFSWorld as well? Of course, as mentioned, no fixed plans, so I think this question is revealed far too early.

There are few layouts done by other people, such as Flame CZE (3 layouts), GT4_PL, scania and texpelt88 (1 layout ). Rest indeed are mine.

Sure, I have done for each layout some slight modifications such as more smoothness and more clear route marker objects. However, all of them have done their layouts as Oval. I have done ovals too, but also circuits you have seen in this thread.

Race

So we had some racing at Round 43, this time it was UM21's turn to taste victory, but was close call of slipping away, as problems with car setup and car's physical condition did occur in last laps and barely took first place, just 0,75 seconds before Willi ( LFSW: Will.I.Am ). UM21 was 2nd fastest guy in both sessions and only Jay or Gevin had bigger chance to win. Both mentioned names however failed more or less and 2nd place was then taken by Willi. Nice one!

3rd position goes to Mr. Steady, just before Gevin, who finally finished on fourth position, with fastest lap as well. 5th place goes to R. Kardol ( LFSW: Rik97 ), who was the only one who did not set any time in qualification. In fact, he did join this round AFTER the qual, so there were not many minutes remaining for practicing. Still, good attempt and result from the position he started.

We have new guy set score on the standings. FSR System. ( LFSW: Kova. ) did join first time ever in both sessions and scored right away some points. Also, Kova. is 2nd guy to score some points for his team called as French Street Racers Team. In other words, Willi FINALLY have got team mate to support his possible reward to obtain from Teams section. Unfortunately, "a bit" too late. But anyway... nice one! ( And welcome to Flat Out! )

7th position goes to Jay from Finland and 8th position goes with SIX pitstops and still finished same lap as Jay: RedBot!

Excellent, here is some highlights!

The Start Grid and start.

Turn one and afterwards.

First jumps, look how Gevin ( LFSW: Sandisck ) managed to save out there! ( There is also scar at the track, purpose built! )

Some crashes, no penalties received.

Situation at Lap 7. Lead goes here and Willi is at last corner, which is not shown in picture.

Meanwhile "The Middle Pack" Runs not too far away from Willi at this point.

The Middle Pack breaks, R. Kardol enters to pit.

[SR] Adebayor (LFSW: bila_khs) simply gives up by few mistakes at race track. Simply goes to pitlane ( with style ) and... leaves, with bye byes.

Plot Twist! Gevin's spectacular jump costs a pitstop, front suspension totalled.

Mr. Flat Out! was surely catching up UM21, but this time, not enough distance to continue race.

On last lap, last position, RedBot decides to go yet another pitstop!

TRIVIA

It was 30 seconds longer total race time than planned, UM21 estimated racetime will be 31 minutes 10 seconds. By the way, The highest gap between UM21 and Willi was somewhat 33 seconds.
Still no points for [SR]
Willi finally got some team support!
Jay, Gevin and UM21 were the guys for having biggest chance to win. Jay took pole, Gevin fastest lap at race, but both of them did not manage to win.
It was 2nd time this layout were used. First time did happen on Round 7.
RedBot did six pitstops and still finished on same lap as Jay, who did "only" two.
Gevin led first and only lap, while UM21 led rest of the laps.
RedBot used twice !flip command, Jay once.

Stats and Points are updated once you see this text having a hotlink.

Thank you for participating this round! Next round will be on next week's Tuesday, at 16.00 UTC and will contain one road car, but track will be new one this time. Let's give hint: Any rally lovers?

Quote from Eclipsed :After 3 days the activity in this thread is somewhat dissapointing. Never expected 50+ votes and active discussions of course, but currently I'm lacking motivation to put any effort here,to be honest. Shrug
I understand that FO8 is a quite difficult car,not between favourites for many, this is why I made the thread - to be sure that this doesn't end into 4-5 car grids in first rounds and cancelled final round.

Sounds like MTDZX-FO!S!, we have already to be used to have no more than 8 racers per round. If more than that, people go mad with " : )" on chat lol.

So, what I attempt to mean is that, yeah... if you run this one, this might be happening. I haven't been on LFS recently, I should really attempt to join more often to RTFR, yet to join this one, where I joined last time for this, is false.
