"Hardly sim racing is it."

You may be right but let's get LFS out there and in the top ten of everything where it rightfully belongs. At the moment we have 916 voters so get voting.

This is great -

so far the comments are just what one would like to hear.
Full of praise for LFS and to much blasting Rfactor either. LFS is that good that it can stand up to anything one can compare to it.

However as a matter of publicity it would still be nice to see LFS listed as one of the hot games it well deserves it no matter who compiles the list and where it is listed (not that I am biased or anything)

LFS was hot when 1st released and has always been hot regardless of it's status as an Alpa or not.

PS - I have voted - Have you???????? - go do it NOW
Do we have a problem?

Ok folks, I may be overreacting but was just surfin about and found that LFS is not even rated in the top 10 “hot Games” in “Simracing World.com”

R factor come in at No 7 so if that can get in the top 10 what the problem

Any ideas folks – or is it just me illepall illepall
(apoligies if this is under another topic - however I just had to get the word out)

Many people talk about the realism of LFS and how good a simulator it is and I include myself in that lot.

However if it is a simulator (and it clearly is a GREAT one), and the devs have gone to all the trouble of making it a good as it is why then do we restart a race at all? illepall

In real life if there is a pile up in turn one or some other major event yes I do realise that the race can be re started. However this is more on the grounds of Health and Safety as lives may be at stake.

For me I prefer that there are no restarts at all. :trophy:

I suggest that having no restarts might well go towards improving overall racing skills.

If we all knew that being involved in a pile up or crash will only result in our race being over and having to sit out for the end or joining in again from the pit resulting in being well down the running order we might just take it a bit smoother – after all the race is over at the chequered flag and not after the 1st corner.

However yes I do agree that it is the right of the host to dictate the rules for his / her game, but for me I would prefer no restarts

Just a thought and one I suspect has been expressed and debated many times before with many conflicting views and suggestions however like I say lets try to keep it real.

[quote=tristancliffe]Forever? I was hoping for a bit longer.

Don't think that bubble car of your will last forever Tristan, but LFS will and then some as long as we are around

By the way have you paid that parking ticket yet, I see it's still on the window (lol)

Yep good advice.
The race is won at the finishing post and lost (sometimes) at the 1st turn.

Assuming you don't get loads of restarts (it's s sim after all not an arcade game) then it's the way to go until you get a good feel for it.

Me? - I hate restarts even if I crash out on the 1st corner. I prefer the realism of no restarts and that make all (hopefully) race all the better.

Opinion anyone?
